Screen was struck by baseball. Front screen surface undamaged, but when turned on spider web fracture appears with sound but no picture. What is broken part? Cost for repair?
Not economical to repair----front screen is called a display panel and rather fragile, cost of the part alone will be more than a new set will cost, sorry but time for a new set.

you no longer have a TV but a parts set. I will more than likely cost more to replace the screen vs. buying a new set. I would throw that puppy on Ebay or Craigslist and list it as a parts unit !!!
If you see "fractured lines" across the screen, it would appear that your LCD screen is broken. That's the only way these kinds of lines appear. You need to replace the screen.
Try connecting an external monitor to your laptop via the 15 pin VGA connector located on the left side of the laptop. If the laptop display is normal on the external monitor then most likely your LCD (liquid crystal display) panel is damaged and needs to be replaced. The spider web effect is due to cracked display panel.
Sounds like you might have yellow sac spiders. They like going on the inside of electronic components (i.e. cars, radios, tvs, computer towers, etc). color issues are normally associated with Color Wheels or chip-boards. Spiders can easily screw this up. Get a Compressed Air Can (like cleaning your keyboard) and clean it out. make sure you unplug the unit before you do this. You will be able to see better.
To get inside you have to take off the back panel. There should be about 14-20 screws holding it on. Be very careful. taking it off. if you need to get another person to help pull it off. You may have to open up other panels to get to the screen. Check out your lamps and wheel to see if they appear damaged or blown or charred in any way.
There are no settings that could produce that result.
On most LCD TVs there is a LCD controller board that controls the vertical/horizontal display output. It sounds like your LCD controller has failed.
When you say 'appears to be cracked'...you mean it is actually physically cracked? That is a different issue altogether. I would say 99.9% of screen fractures are due to rough handling or a stray impact with a Wii controller, but rarely screens can fracture due to manufacturing defect or a sudden change in temperature or altitude.
Unplug tv first Usually you can pop the front screen off the set. There may be two hidden catches depending on the model. You may want to use two people for this. Once the screen is off removed the spider web and clean the back mirror with some windex, don't clean the inside of screen with any cleaner. Replace carefully the screen making sure it clicks back correctly
