The reason why your Magic Jack isn't working now could be that Century Link has updated their modem, and the new modem is incompatible with the Magic Jack. Another possibility is that the Magic Jack itself is no longer working.

If I were to troubleshoot this problem, I would first try plugging the Magic Jack into a different modem to see if that works. If the Magic Jack still doesn't work, then I would contact customer support for Magic Jack to see if they can help me troubleshoot the problem.

It sounds like the magic jack is not getting power. Is it plugged into the computer, or a wall outlet? Is the blue light on?

If it is plugged into a computer then unplug the Magic Jack and reboot the computer wait until it reloads and then plug the Magic Jack into a different USB port.

If it is plugged into the wall, Then unplug it for 5 min and then plug it back in.

My magic jack has been working fine until about 3 months ago. Have had it for about 2 years now. It has a very bad connection. All conversations are breaking up very, very bad. Cannot understand a full sentence. Thought it might be the magic jack itself so I bought a new one. Did not help. Then bought a new phone set. Did not help neither. Only thing I can think it could be is the internet connection. Is that possible or is it something else? Need this fixed.

The Magic Chef brand was a product of the Maytag company and Maytag was bought by Whirlpool about 5 years ago so the Magic Chef brand went away when Whirlpool took over

i have magic jack too. something like that happened to me and i went to the http://www.magicjack.com/6/index.asp website, and you might have to sign into your magic jack account with the phone number or email and your password and i think you can download the software from there. or you can chat live with someone on the site too. hope this helps :)

Your cooling fan sounds to have went out,causing it to overheat and shut down.It also could be something in the fan stopping it from turning.Try cleaning it or blowing it out with it off.But it mostly sounds to have went out.

Have you check your jacks did you put them back in the correct audio/vidio outlet...Johnnie W.
