1. Carefully lay the front of the unit face down on a flat, cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand
protruding over the edge of the surface. NOTE: Extreme care should always be used when removing the pedestal
stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel.
2. Remove the jack pack cover on the back of the TV to expose the pedestal stand screws. The jack pack cover can
be removed without tools.
3. Remove the five screws shown in the diagram below. This will allow removal of the pedestal stand.
4. Once you have removed the five screws holding the pedestal stand in place, remove the stand from the TV by
sliding the stand away from the TV. The Toshiba customer service number is 1-800-631-3811. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Removal of stand

There are 5 screws in the back of the TV, immediately above the stand. From the stand, they are at the 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00 locations. If you remove the screw, and find a washer with the screw, then it's probably the right one. Once all 5 screws are removed, the stand slides right off the bottom. Unfortunately, once the stand is removed, the opening is left in the bottom. It's not too bad since once it's mounted to the wall, it's not high enough to see the bottom of the TV anyway. Good luck!

Toshiba 50H82 hyperboard caps

Service manual won't help much in the hyper board and that's likely the problem.. Simply remove the hyper board and open the can. Inside you'll see a number of smd caps. There are 11 10mf/16v that need to be replaced...

Toshiba 26HLV66

you will need to remove the jack pack cover on the back of the unit (plastic cover), it should pop off, then remove the screws holding the stand on (should be 5 if memory serves).. after that the stand should slide away from the tv.

make sure your wall bracket kit can support the weight and that the screws you embed in the wall are using hercules hooks, anchor bolts, or something similar... last thing you want is a dead tv and ripped up drywall.

hope this helps,
trin
