Whats wrong with my Samsung 55" LN55B650 LN55B650T1F tv?

No red LED, does not respond to remote, nothing. The board does not look like anything is burned, no bulging capacitors. I replaced the two replaceable fuses (6.3 and 3.15a ceramic) and nothing. I have a multimeter and some tools.. I would like to fix this.

These are not meant to be repaired, just boards replaced.

Follow if you are able the AC voltage into the set and then when it changes to DC follow that---confirm all voltages are present, a total dead set usually means something open not too far from the power cord.

SOURCE: Samsung LN-T2632H won't turn on.

Follow these steps to figure out what problem is.
When you turn on TV, look at the back and see if the back light on. If it is on, the power supply and inverter work fine. The suspection now is main board and T-con board (the small board on the middle-top of the panel)
To find the problem from the main board or not. Look at the power supply and measure Vs on - turn on the TV, this approx 5 vlt DC needs constant once you turn on the TV. If it is drop or unstable - main board problem - replace it.
If Vs on is good - disconnect the T-con cable from the power sup. If power sup stop clicking - T-con need replacing. Hope it help.

SOURCE: LN-T4061f samsung lcd no backlight, no sound, no picture

Replacing the capacitors would be a good start. Replace all the ones with the same capacitance and voltage rating even if they do not look bulge.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

SOURCE: We had a power surge

Hello
Lightning will have Trillion Trillions of volts, when it discharge to earth. Whatever type of surge protector we use, cannot withstand it. Even though other devices are safe, as you say, not the case of TV. The TV is connected direltly to mains supply voltage, even though it is in OFF state, there will be supply to the regulator board to keep one 5VDC supply, provided to work the memory and V-Chip section. Unless, all the memeory will go out, and you have to retune and reset the TV everytime you switch it ON. In fact, TVs power switching regulator side is working 24 hours a day. When lightning occurs, a sudden very high voltage, which cannot be suppressed by the surge protector [any surge protector in present market can supress upto 100 or 1500VAC peak the most]; and will get into the power supply section. Eventhough a trillionth part of a samm intensity lightning can damage the power retulator section, as it is designed to work in between 110 to 280VAC the most.
The power supply section inside your TV has now damaged. It is best to replace it as a catd basis, rather than making 'surgery' to it. Some other components in it also be got damged, as we cannot detect now, and will cause trouble in future, and make more "pocket leak' to you. So repalce it with same type and number, the number will be printed on its PCB. The orginal supply board can be had from Samsung Authrised Service center at your town. Just keep the board in hand as sample, when you go to buy a new one. OK.

SAMSUNG UN55F9000 LED TV LED ISSUE TROUBLESHOOT TV STANDBY RED LIGHT FLASHES FOR 5 TIMES

I would venture a guess that it is the main board. You should be able to find one cheap on ebay, then go to you tube for a "how to replace" video. Not hard to replace.
Good luck...

I have a Samsung LN55B650, and cannot use the remote to change channels, hav eto use cable remote. I change to TV mode, and program in channels, but that option is not available once I switch to HDMI2,...

OK the cable box remote is the only one that can change channels in this case. because you are using the tuner in the cable box not the TV.
all you need the TV remote for is to turn the TV on and off and turn the sound up and down. if you used the cable input on the TV then the tv remote would be used to change the channels.

Tv turning off then on by it self

Oh dear You require a technician to replace either the "p" or the "A board inside the set. Do not attempt this yourself, if it's in warranty it should be covered by the guarantee.

Why does my Samsung Ln55b650 give me a no signal when I switch to my ps3. Doesn't do it all the time.

It's just HDMI compatibility. Not a major concern, there's nothing wrong with the TV or PS3, they just don't play nicely together. You may want to contact Samsung regarding a firmware update for your TV. You may also find it on Samsung's website with instructions. They are very easy to perform. If this does not resolve the problem, the only solution you have remaining is to use the component cable connections from your TV to PS3.
