Doubt if squeak is related to not drying. if you are getting heat (you say heating element is ok) take out condensor and hose it down till thoroughly free of lint. check appliance has adequate ventilation as well

Constant loud squeaking

Squeaking is normally caused by a bad bearing or a slipping drum belt.

Squeaking

I have worked on some dryers of my own. The first thing I do is either purchase or go to the library and look at the maintenance/repair manual. These manuals have trouble shooting sections that are very helpful. Also, google it. I found several sites that appear to be very helpful. Squeaking is usually dry bearings some located in the rear of the unit, worn belt, worn carrier bearings or belts.

We just bought this dryer and after drying a load I touched the top of the dryer and it was incredibly hot? is this normal?

Check your vent it may be stopped up this will cause the top to get overly hot and the bearing to squeak

Squeaking Kenmore Stackable Dryer

Your rear drum bearing has worn through the plastic and is now hitting the metal support underneath it,
soon it will act like a guillotine and slice of the ball, the drum will fall backwards into the heating element and short to ground causing the fuse to blow the heater element to burn intwo and the whole thang will be dead in the water.

A Squeak

Hi.
Could be dry drum bearing or jockey pulley dearing. take the rear cveroff the back of the dryer, and you will see the rear drumshaft and bearing.
Squirt some wd40 on the bearing, hopefully.this will cure the squeak.

My Dryer squeeks while rinning

If it is a constant squeak no ups or downs then its the bearings in the motor that turns the drum. If the sound is not monotone, meaning up and down squeaks, then the drum is rubbing something foreign.

Kenmore Dryer Model 110.888029 Serial MH1102412 Type 180.00

MOST LIKELY PROBLEM IS A RESTRICTION IN THE EXHAUST. DISCONNECT THE VENT FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER AND TRY DRYING ONE LOAD. IF IT DRIES O.K.,
THERE IS A RESTRICTION IN THE EXHAUST. CLEAN THE LINT OUT FROM THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF DUCT WORK.

GE DBXR463GB Gas Dryer is squeaking loudly when it runs

one of 2 things can be wrong. Back bearing if bad will sound like a bird chirpping, front bearing glide will be more constant squeek. both need to be fixed by experienced tech.
