When you use a standard multimeter you are not measuring the impedance but the DC resistance, which is not the same. The DC resistance is typically lower than the impedance.
For measuring the impedance you need at least a sinewave signal generator and an amplifier.
If you are still interested, you can find good information here: http://www.bcae1.com/resvsimp.htm
I hope this helps.
Connect two resistors in serial eg 1kOhm +1.2 kOhm. You may not need exact 2200 assumung that standard resistors tolerance is 5% - check with Ohmmeter if it's between 2,11 and 2,32 kOhm. But if it's special and value is critical then get trimmer (small adjustable resistor) and adjust value to Ohmmeter indication. Watch out required power.
Check the singer website for a instruction manual
Go to the singer website
Go to the home page
At the bottom of the page look for instruction manual--click on it
It will take you to another page
In the box put the model number (example 312) & click search
They usually have a free download
The Invicta Atomic 4048 is "discontinued", and Invicta is not very helpful. They do NOT offer an instruction manual for the 4048, because it's discontinued. You can call Invicta at 800-327-7682 then you have to ask for "Melvin" who only works until 1PM eastern time. OR you can do the following:
Hold down the 8 0'clock button until it flashes, select 12hour or 24hour preference, use the button at 4 o'clock to select your time zone (GMT) The watch should reset itself to your GMT time.
Go to www.invictawatch.com and click on 'Collections' and then 'Instruction Manuals' and download the manual. One manual covers all their watches - just find the pages that match your watch.
When I called 800-446-2333 I was told that I needed to go to the Singer website (www.singerco.com), mouse over Customer Support, click on Instruction Manuals. In the search box, put in the first letter of the manufacturer plus the model number. In my case I was looking for the manual for the White Classic 312, so I typed in W312. The manual is a free PDFdownload.
