I have had it repaired 2 times, the tech replaced the little plastic arms that go around when it's dispensing and he said if it did it again he'd have to replace the big box under thatl little apparatus that operates the plastic arms. I'd just as soon put my soap and powder bleach in manually with the clothes, I've been having to stand there to flick the plastic arms when they bind so the machine doesn't shut down. I am a pensioner on a fixed income and it's costing alot to have that guy come 40 miles each time this goes on, and it's 200.00 for the box he says he'l have to replace. Thankyou very much
There's no reason you couldn't just put powder HE detergent on top of the clothes before you wash. The water will still run through the soap dispenser
hi, thanks for responding, I know I can just put the soap in the load, but i would still have to stand there and make sure
(accidently pressed enter) the little plastic arms didn't bind up ad the machine would stop and the machine wouls quit with an error message.
6mm x 6mm x 4.3 square switch is the culprit. Soldering skills and amazon save the day for 6 bucks.
Just open the box that turns the arm.
We use non-edible tidepods anyway!

Yes you will need a service call, you may have a issue with the water valve or control, At the start of the cycle it should not be filling the softener dispenser till later in the program.

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...
Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water
can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly (re: dlypooh), open the washer door and
feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into
the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a
blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.

The Sears repair man told me that I was filling the bleach and fabric softener too high and when you close the tray is splashes over and runs into the drum. Not all of it runs out though just the portion that goes over the Fill Line.

We had water pour out of the dispenser of our Kenmore HE2 washer. hot water helped us for one load then i realize that a trapped rag was the problem We were actually able to pull the face cloth out of the intake tube without taking everything apart!
opened the washer door and feel around inside the rubber seals to find where the intake tube connects to the drum (upper-left side). felt a small bit of cloth sticking out of the tube and were able to slowly work it out by pulling back and forth. and pulled it completely out thats all it was try this
