The spin knob does not light up door wont lock
Are you sure it is an 18h? There is no such error code for this manufacturer anywhere. What cycle was it in and what was it doing/not doing when this happened?
SOURCE: washer won't do anything!
You have a burned out door assembly. This is very common, min just went out. I purchased a new door latch assembly at my local parts supplier and hubby is replacing now. The part costs $50-$55, but is cheaper than a repair man if you can replace it yourself. Must remove entire front panel from washer to get to door latch to replace, but should fix the problem.
SOURCE: Machine will run through entire cycle and will not
I had a similar problem and found out the "latch" on the washer door broke off. The machine won't run in spin cycle if the door is"open", but it would run through the wash cycle.
Thank you for your post, Jeff Duvall!
I see that your Frigidaire washer is displaying an error code of "18h". However, it appears "18h" is an invalid error code. In order to clear any false error codes, let's attempt resetting your range. You can do this by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position for approximately ten minutes.
If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please inform me of the new error code or if your washer continues to display "18h". I look forward to assisting you. -Matt
I had this problem. I tried to interupt a cycle just after it started and then couldn't start the cycle again, with the E27 code coming up.
e27 refers to a problem with the door locking mechanism which could be due to a number of causes. The problem I had was with the solenoid in the door, not a genuine problem with the door latch mechanism.
Here is how I fixed it:
(1) Set knob to off
(2) Hold down spin selector and Allergy rinse buttons and turn the knob to the LEFT (right does not work)
(3) The display then shows a number of program codes P01 to P14. (Pressing spin selector rotates through the codes).
(4) Press spin selector until you reach P02 on the display, then press the start button, the door will click and the machine will begin a cycle.
(5) Turn the knob to OFF, and then you should be able to use the machine as normal.
