Dos not work with Windows 7

Your original Sony customised version of Windows included some dedicated webcam software plus webcam drivers. It is probable that you need both the software and the drivers from the Sony support website. The question is will the software work without you having a Sony customised version of Windows. And here. Study the page carefully to make sure you've chosen the correct operating system and that you have expanded the view by clicking "Open File List", etc.

If your windows 7 system is set up as 32 bit instead of 64, that's why it doesn't work. according to the logitech website that camera will only work with windows 7 in 64 bit mode...otherwise it won't.

Try this approach:1. Uninstall your existing printer driver. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark X5600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot your pc when prompted.2. When your pc turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > click on Properties. Take note of the System Type.3. Use the link below to download and re-install the corresponding printer driver for your operating system:- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 32-bit- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 64-bitSimply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.4. To re-install the Lexmark OCR scan software, insert the printer software installation CD in your pc CD-ROM drive.5. Click on Install > Install Additional Software > select the Lexmark OCR Scan Software > continue with normal installation steps.
Then try to create a PDF or Scan and Edit text (OCR) to verify that the problem is fixed.

Panasonic supplied software for the VDR-M70 for Windows 98 through XP on the CD. Due to changes in the OS over time, the installer can't run under Windows 7. Panasonic has not updated the drivers for Windows 7 and Microsoft indicates that it is not compatible with any version of Windows 7.

There are work-arounds depending on your version of Windows 7. If you have the 32-bit OS, try using the compatibility mode. To find out which version of Win7 that you have, click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System. If the name of the OS ends with x64, then you have the 64-bit version of the software. Otherwise, you have the 32-bit version.

For the compatibility mode, right click on the installer on the CD (browse Computer). Choose Properties and then click on the Compatibility tab. Select Always Run this program as and an older version of Windows (XP). Apply and Save your changes. Then right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

This may not work (and won't work for the 64-bit Windows 7). If it doesn't work, you need a machine with an older version of Windows. This can be a second computer, a dual boot computer or a virtual computer (if your hardware supports virtual computing). For most options, you will need a licensed copy of the older version of Windows.

If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate or upgrade to one of them, you can have a virtual version of XP for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft in order. Then install the software for the camcorder in XP mode as if it were your only computer. (Of course this doesn't help if your hardware doesn't support the Virtual PC.) Other virtual computer programs are VMWare and Parallels.

Note: you can not directly share files or hardware between the Win7 and the virtual computer. You have to put files on an external drive (optical, flash drive or other external hardware) to share them.

the printer will need to be installed in compatibility mode....un-install the printer from control panel.
pain in the **** i know, but least you'll know from now on, how to install older programs & drivers in to windows 7....
if your installing from a disk, then put the disk in, then when the auto run box comes up, close it...
open computer instead from the start menu.
right click on the cd drive with the disk in, & select open.
drag & drop the contents of the disk on to your desktop....make a new folder to put it all in, if you need to.
then once it's copied across, right click on the install/application icon.
from the top of the menu click "check compatibility" if you dont see it,click off it & then try right clicking on it again untill you see it.
windows will scan & set itself to the right settings for that program.
then click try recommended settings.....followed by START PROGRAM.
if it all installs ok click next then click YES KEEP THESE SETTING FOR THIS PROGRAM NEXT TIME.
then go to the printers web site & update it with the latest software,thats if windows doesn't do it for you.....TIP:(white flag @ bottom right of screen)
do this with all older software.....windows 7 is **** hot when it comes to running older programs, im using a windows 98 program call photo express on mine...no problem.

This computer uses the generic driver for Windows XP and Windows 7 and thus there's no need to install a driver. If you need to re-install the Webcam driver, try to do the following:

For Windows XP / 7
1. Press the Windows Key+R on the keyboard (the windows key looks like this ).
2. Type devmgmt.msc then press Enter.



3. Expand Imaging Devices, right click on your camera and choose Update Driver Software



4. Click Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software



If this doesn't work, I recommend doing a System Restore (if it was working a few days or weeks ago, step by step guide here) or a System Recovery (if you don't mind starting from scratch - you need to press F8 simultaneously during boot-up > choose Repair Your Computer and click on your account > Choose Dell Factory Image Restore).

Some PC Laptops have devices that doesn't supports Windows 7 Operating System. Even if you search for the driver in the Internet, if the PC Laptop doesn't support Windows 7, you can never find a driver that device. Here try using these if these will help you fix the problem, but do not expect that this will be 100% that it will fix your problem. As I said earlier there are some PC Laptops that don't supports Windows 7, But theres no harm in trying. Heres the Solution.

1. First, you must download this software. DOWNLOAD
2. After downloading the software, Extract the file into a folder.
3. After Extraction, Go to the folder and click on the Setup file.
4. Once the software is installed, Run the program and Start the Scan, This will start the scanning of installed devices in your computer.
5. Now after scanning, Browse for your missing drivers (MemCard Reader, Bluetooth, Webcam)
6. Click the download button parallel to the device to download the driver.
7. Now after downloading the driver, you will see a install button beside the download button, click it to install the driver.
8. After installing the driver, I suggest you reboot you computer for the newly installed software to take effect.
9. And your Done.

Now if the procedure above, worked for you.. then congrats, your PC is Windows 7 Compatible. But if the device is still missing, I suggest you change your Operating System to the OS that is supported by your Laptop.

Windows 7 will just have the printer drivers for this unit by default. If you want to be able to scan, you should install the full version of the drivers which is available from the HP website. Just search for your model number, select the operating system, download and install.

Unistall any previous you have installed for your device.

The Driver for Your Product Is Included in the Windows 7 Operating System (i.e. Win 7-32bit & 64bit).
Simply connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable, and Windows Update automatically installs the driver for your product.

Yes, it can be installed on Windows 7. Check the Futura support sight at www.Futura-support.com and look on the right hand side under downloads. There's a download listed for CE150/250/350, etc, that applies to XP 32 & 64 bit, Vista and Windows 7 32 & 64 bit. Follow the directions CAREFULLY! If this doesn't work for you, I've posted a set of instructions under CE100 solutions for running the CE100 software on Windows Vista/7 by installing a Virtual Machine software on Windows 7 that works regardless of the situation.

The update should work for you perfectly, however. Just make sure you uninstall the Futura software and reboot your machine BEFORE you do anything else and follow the instructions from the website carefully! Good luck!
