SOURCE: Cyberhome Ch- DVD 300

Your advice was very helpful. After two+ months of tooling around and navigating around the menu blind I was on the brink of trashing it.

At first I tried the stop button with a dvd in the player with no success. After taking the dvd out, turning in off/on then pressing the stop button for 20 seconds the screen turned blue as said.

This help saved me a great amount of fustation.

Thank You!

SOURCE: My Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 MU BIOS: VOE won't turn on.

I had EXACTLY this problem. Fuse is OK. LED barely looks like its glowing.

Take six screws off cover, remove cover.

Inside, look at the power supply board. There will be a 2200 uF capacitor, probably rated at 10V. It's about an inch long and 3/8 of an inch in diameter. If it it bulging slightly at the top, it needs to be replaced.

Take two screws off power supply board, There are also two plastic standoffs holding the board on, it's best to squeeze those with a needlenose pliers to release the board.

I replaced the cap with another 2200 uF, but rated at 16V. Now the player works again.

Will my DVD 300 play photos recorded on a CD-R disc?

Yes it should, as it supports JPEG file playback.
Create a folder on your desktop, drag and drop the photos you want onto it and then burn the folder onto a CD-R.
Alternatively, most Photo software allows you to create a CD from your photo collection.
Photos must be in the JPEG format (pretty much the default and most common file format used for photos).

I lost the instructions. Can you tell me what to do watch a cd or dvd?

As long as your cables are all connected, on your remote you need to change SOURCE or INPUT to change what device is sending the info to your TV. Make sure your DVD is on. The CD/DVD should auto start. If not, just push play on either the remote or the device. Then when you are done push the Input or Source button again to switch your TV back to TV Mode. Hope that helps.

THE PLAYER DISPLAYS BAD DISC.

You have not said the TYPE of CD or DVD you are trying to play.
Your manual will clearly state what can be played and what cannot. ALSO, some mfg's like mine (samsung blu-ray) provided software or firmware updates you can d/l to flash drive or burn on cd and insert.
Check manual and your mfg websit for what's available.

NTSC SYSTEM SELECTED IN TV & DVD PLAYER PLAY PERFECT NTSC CDS & DVDS, BUT IF PAL CD OR DVD IS INSERTED SUCH PROBLEM COMES.
EVEN IF, THE DVD PLAYER SETTING IS KEPT AS PAL, AND WE INSERTING THE CORRECT CD OR DVD AND ALSO IT SHOW BLACK & WHITE PICTURE, ETC.... so please check your video system in TV, DVD PLAYER and check the CD or DVD you are inserting is of same video format you have set in DVD player.

Multi region for CH DVD 300

There's a tricky process to follow with the remote control to set the region code. It is: -Open the player. -Remove any DVD. -Close the player. -Power off the player. -Wait for 30+ seconds -Power on the player. -Press Menu,1,9 on the remote [this frequently takes a few tries]. -When the region screen appears, press enter to change region (Every time you press enter, the region code on the screen will increment by 1). -When the proper region code is displayed, press Return. -Open the player. -Insert DVD. -Close the player. -(Maybe just my player) If the player doesn't start the DVD, repeat Open/Close until the DVD starts. If it still doesn't start, power off for 10 minutes. Good Luck!
