Where is the SLEEP button on the keypad of the G3 radio?

The manual refers you to a SLEEP button. I cannot find any button which is labeled "SLEEP:. A PHOTO showing the function of each button would have been nice, in the manual. The pundits at ETON actually note in the manual that the F buttons have multi functionality, then have the gall to publish that they will let us know these functions later in the manual if needed??? I have tried pressing these F BUTTONS in the hope that they might be hiding the SLEEP but did not succeed.

The sleep button is also the power button. See the screen captures for the location of the button, and on how to use it. It was grabbed from the manual in English available on the Eton/Grundig global site.

SOURCE: Buttons Don't Work

I would strongly lean towards factory service. Sounds like the circuit board has problems.

Good luck.

I have an Eton G3 recently purchased which has an operators manual, but does not contain any references to the layout of the buttons etc. I would like a link to find out the correct use of the radio

The buttons are marked and the use of most of them is self-evident.
The number keys are used to enter frequencies (direct tuning).
Lock locks the radio and prevent changes (trurning ON or OFF, changing frequency, any function change is blocked)
Sleep sets a timer.
+, - go up or down in frequency, or when you are setting time.
U/LSB is for toggling Upper or Lower Side Bands.
Auto Up and Auto Down are for the automatic tuning system (scanning the frequency spectrum)
AM is for switching to the AM (medium wave band)
AM/Meter band is for switching to the Short wave bands, and FM is for Frequency modulation band.
VOL + and - increase and decrease volume levels

Page/time: It has 700 memory locations to store frequencies. These are organized in pages (maybe up to 100 pages). You jump to next page with that button. Used also when setting time . Please read the instructions.

F1 to F7 are used to select the day for the alarm. F1 for Day 1, Sunday, F2 for Monday, etc) You can set an alarm for each day of the week.
Reset to reset configuration
TZ/Line in TZ set time zone, Line In if you wan to use the speaker of the radio as the output device for a signal from some other radio, or MP3 player
The tuning knob may also be used to change the displayed value while setting time (I can't remember exactly. You have the manual)
Erase erasing a stored frequency or a page (Check that)
Copy see above.

Need a picture of the Globe Traveler G3 with keys and buttons labeled.

You will find here the link to the manual. As you can see from a picture in the manual the keys are clearly marked. For example where it says FM band, that is the key to press to switch to the FM band. The Lock is to lock all controls to prevent the shifting of frequency or the increase of the volume. Everyhing is well explained in the manual
Anyway here is the link
And again explictly

Purchased a 2007 MKZ and there was no owner's card to get the keyless lock code. How can I get it so I can set my doors?

The keyless entry code should be printed on a label by the fuse box. I have attached a picture of where you should find the label SECTION 501-14: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems 2007 Fusion/Milan/MKZ Workshop Manual GENERAL PROCEDURES Procedure revision date: 07/31/2006 Keyless Entry Keypad Code Programming adobe.gif Printable View (109 KB) NOTE: To associate a memory configuration to a personal entry code, refer to the Owner's Literature.
  1. Enter the permanent factory keyless entry keypad code.
  1. NOTE: Holding the 1/2 button for more than 2 seconds after activation erases all the customer codes. The existing code does not need to be erased to program a new code.
Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to activate the programming mode.
  1. Within 5 seconds, enter the new 5-digit keyless entry keypad code. The doors lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed.

Using the above linked manual. (if the first link doesn't work, try the second)

Instructions for setting the date are on page 7 and a reference diagram with labeled buttons is on page 5.

On page 8 of the linked manual, there will be instructions for setting nature sounds. A diagram with labeled buttons can be found on page 5.

Here are the directions for setting the nature sounds:
1. Press and hold down the 'alarm 2' button until the 'alarm 2' display comes up
2. Press the reverse or forward buttons to set the alarm time.
3. Use the Mode/DST button to choose sounds. There are five to choose from:
  1. Ocean Surf
  2. Birds
  3. Brook
  4. Wind Chimes
  5. Buzzer
4. Press the enter button or wait 10 seconds to confirm.

What is the function of the sleep button on the TruTech TCR1276 Clock Radio. The alarm clock already has a snooze button.

The sleep button sets the radio to play for a set length of time and then turn off. Thus you can fall asleep with the radio on and not have to remember to turn it off. It works when the clock's Auto/On/Off switch is set to Auto or Off. The default is 59 minutes before it turns off. You can adjust the time until it turns off by holding the sleep button and the hour (lengthen the sleep time) or minute (shorten the time until it goes to sleep) button. The longest duration is 1 hour and 59 minutes until shut off.

I hope this helps. You can find the manual for the clock radio at: http://www.curtisint.com/support/manuals.asp . Search for the TCR1276.

How do I stop it frombeeping when I push the button

If you are referring to the 'roger beep' you could get following the release of the PTT. See the instructions near the bottom of page 25 of the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T65xx.pdf

If you are talking about the beeps made when you press any of the keys on the keypad, these cannot be shut off. However, you can eliminate some of them by locking the keypad, page 20.

Best regards.

Times T307S Can't get it to come on

I'm not sure if this will assist all who have this issue, but I noticed this morning when my radio would not come on (after about two hours of pressing every button on the thing), that the Off/Reset button was slightly jammed at the top of the button. I popped it out and my radio came right back on. That may explain why, each time this has happened, it finally comes on after hitting the button several times, it pops the button back out so the radio works again... Hope this helps!
