Every time I turn on my computer, the cyberlink power cinema boots and opens up, and I cannot click on anything that will respond. I cannot close it, or do anything. I have gone into the system configuration and unchecked it from the startup tab, and I even went into the programs and completely uninstalled it, and its still doing it! What can I do to get rid of this beast??
I have the same issue. Just started all of a sudden and is driving me nuts! I have the same issue. Just started all of a sudden and is driving me nuts!

Re: problem with cyberlink power cinema at startup
I suggest you download revo.uninstaller. Its a free program which can check what gets left behind after the suppliers uninstall software has done its job.
All too often registry items get left behind creating hooks that allow programs to reinstall etc.
Google Revo free uninstaller
Download the free version to your computer
Select the program you wish to uninstall
Wait while the initial analysis and restore point is made
Select advanced
Select Yes to continue
Select No for personal settings if asked
Click finish when suppliers uninstall is complete
Do not restart computer if asked or you will miss the Revo scan
Click scan to see what registry items are left
Select all and delete
See if any files remain if so select all and delete

TVAgent is software made by Cyberlink that comes installed on many HP computers. It is on there so that you can use your computer as a TV. It sounds like its trying to start some type of program or service when your computer boots. It may be looking for the powrprof.dll file which may not be there or be the wrong version. If you don't use your computer as a TV then I would see if you can uninstall the Cyberlink software from Programs and Features.
Or you can also uncheck that particular item from msconfig window.
1) Click on Start >> type msconfig on the search or run field and press Enter.
On the General tab, click Selective Startup, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. (The Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.)
Click the Startup tab, and then uncheck the box for TVAgent or cyberlink application. Click on Ok and Apply. Then restart the notebook.
Hello... Buddy! I have a suggestion for you that you reinstall the cyberlink power cinema software using the same disk. When the installation starts, this will ask for repair/reinstall or romove options. choose remove option and take step forwand and if it fails to remove, re-run the setup file and choose to repair/reinstall, when it is done successfully, you may then uninstall it from add/remove programs in controls panel. or program & features option for vista/windows 7. or uninstall it from program menu.
To repair your computer using Startup Repair follow these steps:
Boot into Vista installation DVD
Choose your language settings and click Next
Click Repair your computer
Choose your operating system and click Next. This should bring up System Recovery Options.
Click on Startup Repair
Startup Repair should now start diagnosing your system to identify the root cause of the failure. Once it has identified the root cause, it would automatically start repairing your computer. If you are curious to know what Startup Repair did, you can click on the details link and see which tests Startup Repair ran to diagnose the problem.
After Startup Repair has finished the repairs, click Finish to reboot your computer.
Your computer should now be able to boot normally into Vista!!
Note -- If your computer cannot boot into Vista even after repairs, then go back to System Recovery Options and run System Restore.
That's it! This is how you use Startup Repair for most unbootable situations.
Sounds like a problem in the power supply section that will need component-level electronic troubleshooting.
If it's under warranty and less than 30-60 days, I would suggest an exchange. If not, I would call the number in the manual for help.
I have the same issue. Just started all of a sudden and is driving me nuts!
