There is always the cance of a lemon when buying elecrtonics but there should have been instructions that came with the new board that will instruct on the set up of the new board. If not I would give the manufacturer a call and they usually have a tech line that may be able to talk you through it. Good luck

LED TV, DSE GE6880 TV flashes when power on; no picture, with audio. No backlights, has picture with flashlight test Have tested LEDs - all working Infrequently TV turns on and works no problem!

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Everything works fine but won't manually turn off, but will time itself off.

There are two possible likely problems here: the joystick "key" or contact on the printed circuit board is bad/worn or the joystick is defective. The "key" is the rubber button pad that you press to turn the PWC on and off. This keypad is carbon embedded rubber that makes contact on the printed circuit board underneath. When these age or get moisture, the contact on the board oxidizes and the rubber becomes de-carbonized resulting in a poor contact when the key is depressed. Cleaning the contact with rubbing alcohol and a light scraping tool works sometimes. Replacing the keypad is a must.
If these don't work then you have a bad circuit board in the joystick. Either replace the joystick or the PCB within it. PCB replacement must be done by a properly trained electronic tech or Curtiss\PG Drives who makes the joystick.

Noise coming from center back of refrigerator sounded like fan scraping on something. Repair person replaced fan and supposedly a green circuit board. Now there is frozen water under the drawer on the...

Fire these guys immediately. If someone did go behind they could cut off the water supply to trick you. Too bad I can't visit, dishonest techs disgust me.

The unit had a sound but no picture. one of the ceramic fuses was bad. I replaced it and now it powers up and then shuts off in a few seconds

If its a Plasma set, then the board with the fuse on it needs to be replaced. I do not recommend buying a used board from companies that sell these. I cant mention their names. They are a reputable company but when it comes to Y sustain and Z sustain modules, I wouldn't touch them. As a service tech, that is my recommendation. You can try MCM Electronics.com or Encompassparts.com for pricing and availability or have a service company diagnose it properly.

Sony KP-53XBR45 i have a bad convergence board. Do I fix it or replace it. Where is the part available

Hi,
Replace convergence out ICs to get it fixed.
You can replace these chips if you can replace parts in circuit board with proper tools or ask local tv tech.
Required ICs are available with Part Store.
Thanks.

Oven shows stop on display and cant be used

I don't have a solution but a thought. Sometimes the main circuit board can be corrupted during a power surge or outage. You may need to have the circuit board re-set by a professional tech or replace it. Can you try going to the breaker box/pannel and flipping the breaker off for about 30min. to let the circuit board re-set. If that doesn't work then see if someone else has any suggestions or call a tech.

AprilAire 760 not running after installing new circuit board

I called the service company that put in my new furnace (FAmily Heating and Cooling in Detroit, very highly recommend these people)

Anyway they sent out a second service tech who determined that I would be better off having the humidifier wired to go on whenever the furnace fan was running instead of using the humidifier signal from the circuit board on the furnace. After he changed the wiring the unit runs fine. It is pretty likely that the circuit board was bad also.

Fans do not work properly

If the hood fan is not working at all, it would be due to a bad connection or other problem on the control panel (circuit board) or an open thermal or winding in the hood fan motor.

If you or a friend want to troublesoot this, I can give you some tips.

Power Supply?

Ok thats great news. Just please dont be alone in the place where you repair this set. So someone can call 911 when you get knocked on your $%$#.. LOL Now that being said and all kidding aside. Zenith TV sets are made for the entire Printed circuit board to be replaced as a whole. Contact http://www.ptscorp.com and click on technical assistance and then find board by model and enter your model #. If the board doesent come up call them the #s there. You see I cant teach you what parts to replace in an e-mail message. It takes years of practical experience, and the proper equipment to repair an electronic device down to componet level. You will be better off to get the entire board with this Zenith and replace the PC board as it was designed for you to do. Now after you replace this board, there will be a few adjustment you will need to do like screen, focus, as well as modst likly on screen service menu as well, all depense on how well they serviced thios module. They can assist you with this as well. Good luck.
