Clicking sound coming from my projection TV RCA Model P46921 year 2000

Just make sure of the entire model number

This is most likely the B+ voltage in the tv. You can tell the B+ voltage by looking inside the tv (only if you know what you're doing, VERY HIGH VOLTAGE) and you can see a block box shape with a single red wire running out of the top. This powers the projectors and over time can't keep up with the electric need. Replacement is easy as long as you can find the same model.

RCA projection TV was working great and then suddenly would no longer turn on like there was no power to the unit.

you have a bad power supply....

I have P46733AT with the same problem. I ordered schematic and now looking for flyback + high voltage transistor.
When I finished I let you know what's going on.

I think the problem is either the power supply/High Voltage board or the IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer). I don't have schematics for this model, in addition you will need to take the IHVT out and perform a ring test on it, also I would advise you to check and see if the Horizontal Output transistor is shorted also, you can do this with an ohmmeter (measure between the collector and ground it should have a high reading if the reading is low the transistor is bad). The ring test can be performed with the use of a Universal Video Analyzer, or a LCR analyzer.

Still sounds like the flyback. Rca has had issues throught the years with flybacks failing especially that model.

Easy diagnosis = bad flyback.............P46921YX1 = # 239111

I would suggest having a repair person come out to your place to fix this problem. I believe the convergence IC are going or have gone bad. I would estimate a $300 - $400 dollar repair bill.
