Bought a second hand Quinny Buzz and the clip that keeps the frame locked in place when it's folded is broken. I called Dorel today and the lady told me that they don't do replacements for that being that it screws into the frame. She said anything that screws into the frame they do not replace and that I would end up needing a new frame instead. Or they can send me this cord that can pretty much be wrapped around it to keep it locked in place. Did anyone else get this as a replacement or did you guys actually get the clip that screws on to the right side of the frame?
Hi

Hi I got a nearly new frame off ebay for a bargain! There are loads of spare parts to be had on there.
SOURCE: Folding - Quinny buzz 3
HI, if it's the same model as I have: start with the frame facing you with the break on, you will see 2 long grey 'buttons' situated where the seat clips in to the frame. One of these buttons has arrows on it like this ^, this one you push in the direction of the arrows. The other you, simultaneously push in. You then push the whole frame down - this takes a bit of pressure. The whole thing should fold flat, you then secure it with the cable located near the wheel.
This sounds very complicated, it isn't once you've done it the first time - I hope it makes sense to you!

This happened to my wife the other day, I found that the main pivot bolt had pulled through the plastic pivot/collapse assembly. This part is rivoted to the frame so without drilling it out and replacing with an ugly nut and bolt you will have to source a new frame. I got mine from Ebay, I found someone selling lots of quinny buzz bits and asked if he still has the frame he said yes but the handle bar no longer extends (Hence im on here looking how to swap the two), Problem solved!
I also found out from Quinny that the Buzz has a 2 year manufacturers warranty, where Motercare insisted it was 1 year, so dont let them fob you off.
Hope this helps
Chris.
SOURCE: does the quinny buzz seat 2006 and carrycot fit the 2008/9 frame
Hi new frame should be ok, the only frame that is different is the older 2005 frame, if you remove your seat unit and check the posts on your seat unit (the bits that slot onto the buzz chassis) if they are both the same and have rounded ends then this is the older model and wont fit the newer frames, but if one of the posts is rounded and the other is shaped like a turret then all the frames 2006 onwards will be ok. :)
