Over last few months, have noticed the spin cycle sounding whiny. Stopped spinning completley so I just replaced the brushes on the motor and it has no effect. I put it on the spin cycle and push start. It makes an electrical sound but not at the motor. It makes the same sound even after removing the motor, so I have a problem before the motor. I have the back panel off and do not have any hosed connected but do not see any kill switch. What do you think is happening here? Is that noise the pump. Do I need to hook up the water supply and put the back on to have it work? I am confused and appreciate your assistance. Thanks!
My Bosch Axxis whines but is still working very well. I think the drum is slightly out of alignment. Any solutions?
Thanks,
Rick

hiya
by elecrical sound i take it you mean a buzzing sound, if so it sounds like your pump is jammed. on the front of your machine their will be a plastic kick plate, if you remove this (carefully) you will find the pump filter, this catches all the debris from the water during the wash (coins, bra wires etc). you can remove this by turning it anti clockwise then pulling it out. remove any obstructions whiich may be lurking in there and also check inside the pump housing as things can get stuck behind the pumps fan then refit the filter.
you may need some old rags whilst you carry out this job as there may be water left i the pipes when you remove the filter.
hope this helps

I have the same problem on an axxis 2060 washer. I've been opening the drain nob for months. If i leave it off, sometimes it would do a quick spin... but now nothing, just the frustrating humming electrical sound kdkibs was speaking off. Anymore tips would be appreciated.
