I would lift up the drip tray and clean that out making sure nothing is under it. If it is coming from the dispenser then there is no reason to check under the fridge unless you think something is under there like grapes or berries.

You may have a failed defrost heater.

Check the drain tube from the defrost coil near the evaporator to the drain pan.

Hello there,
To remove and replace the drip pan on your refrigerator, please follow the instruction below:

1. Unplug the electrical cord of the Maytag refrigerator from the power outlet before attempting to remove the drip pan.
2. Detach the grille on the bottom of the refrigerator in the front, pulling the grille off by hand.
3. Place a towel in front of the refrigerator to clean up any spills that may occur while pulling the drip pan out from under the appliance.
4. Slide the drip pan forward until is free of the Maytag refrigerator.
5. Empty the drip pan in the sink.
6. Replace it with a new one,
7. Then you reverse the process to reassemble it back together,
8. Plug it back to the power outlet.

You will need to remove the bottom grill assembly to access the drip pan. The drip pan will slide out from the bottom of the fridge.

A defrost water drain pan should located under the unit on top the coils. Or in the outside in back mounted on top of compresser

Hi, This pan can not be removed without taking the whole frame apart. Best thing is to try and get a long brush (hardware stores sell them) and try and clean it that way.
Using very hot water might help loosen the grime in the pan.

I use a turkey baster and force hot water right down the drain hole. If still blocked I push a coat hanger wire down the drain, usually works but you need patience with the hot water.
