Unable to load install CD

    i have a gt 704 wg, i can't open internet explorer to set the router up on my gate way there is no internet light and the dsl light is flashing green the power light is solid green as is the ethernet, but the internet light is out and the dsl light is flashing green

Router setup
You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then:

Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.

The problem is that the Cyberlink software that comes with the drive cannot be installed on a Windows N Edition (Microsoft created the 'N' edition following a European lawsuit). In order to fix this problem in Windows media player needs to be installed on your computer first.

You can obtain a copy free, direct from Microsoft here-

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/default.aspx

you will then need to restart your computer and install your drive software again.
