The picture via my Onkyo tx-sr674 receiver has become pixilated.
When I connect the hdmi cable leading to my Sharp Aquos directly to the back of the satellite receiver, the picture is perfect. But when the TV is connected to the AV receiver, the same picture becomes degraded. It improves after 30 to 60 minutes of viewing but never reaches the same quality as when the receiver is not in line.
Thanks

Could well be the quality of your cables. if you have high end cables the consult a service agent. if you have the cables that came with the products, go and get some better ones.

I had the same problem with my xbox 360. I was able to fix the problem by disabling the Display Discovery setting on the xbox.

If the stand by red light starts blinking after 4 seconds of switching On it indicates an output short circuit. In all probability one of the Amplifiers output stage is defective and to prevent speaker damage the protection circuit is getting activated in 4 seconds. You will need professional help to fix this.
To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS ON THE RECEIVER PLUS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR SPEAKER CONFIGURATIONS, SPEAKER DISTANCE AND ALL LEVEL CALIBRATION SETTINGS. YOU WILL ALSO LOSE ANY PROGRAMMED RADIO STATIONS IN MEMORY. Once the receiver goes into standby mode turn it back on and go thru the setup menu for all custom settings., Thanks, JT
