Open Question

Sennheiser TR 120 Headphones

I have just returned from a 4 month holiday and my Sennheiser TR 120 headphones are not working through my Receiver. I have tried to isolate the problem by disconnecting the power and the leads from all components and they still are broadcasting the ABC or SBS depending on just where I tune them. Can you help solve please??

Thanks for your help everyone. Looks like it may have had a bad connection to the main unit. My husband pulled it out and put it back in, had to press it in really hard and now it all works. So that may have been the problem!!!!. Or there was a gremlin around giving me the irrates. Thanks again all and cheers.

SOURCE: Sennheiser TR136 Wireless Headphones Nothing Happens

I had a similar problem - after owning them for 4+ years, no sound we coming out, and no beeps -- nothing. The lights on the charger stand were on though.

I tried buying new rechargable AAA batteries and they were NIMH (nickel metalhydride?) and still didnt work. I borrowed a friend's pair of NICM (nickel cadmium?) AAA rechargables though and the problem was solved!

So, it would seem the some of the new chargable battery types might not work in older models of this unit (which is also called the RS 130 now in the US and Cdn web sites).

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: No sound coming through my Sennheiser wireless headphones

Turning the transmitter on and off (Fig. 5)
Turn on the sound source. This automatically activates the
transmitter and the green LED “ON/OFF” lights up. If the sound
source is turned off, the transmitter is automatically deactivated
after approx. 3 minutes (the LED “ON/OFF” goes off).
Note: The automatic level control only functions if the volume of the
sound source is sufficient.

I have Sennheiser 120. Set it up right. One side or the other comes in clear. Never both sides at the same time.

I have a set as well but the batteries were weak and it was doing the same thing when they were new. Replaced with good batteries and that was the problem. if you try this and they still don't work then just return it for a replacement

We have purchased sennheiser RS 120 wireless headphones but find our LG tv model 32LS3450 - TA does not have audio out, is there a solution?

Your TV should have Audio out somewhere, even if its digital audio out, you could output to a receiver and then hook your headphones to the receiver.

Sennheiser HDR 130 with TR 130 transmitter not working.

If you twist the earpiece, one of them has two NIMH AAA batteries ,worth checking out if these are gone ,which is what happened to me.I was about to bin my rs130's and just stuck two new rechargeables and the earphones are working again!!!!!

As for $20 dollars from sennheiser for replacements!?!?!?
You should pick up two NIMH batteries for a couple of bucks on ebay or amazon.DO NOT USE ORDINARY BATTERIES!!!!!

After hooking up a HD receiver from my cable company the headsets no longer work.

This would seem to be more a function of the device to which you connect the headphones than the headphones themselves. Can you flesh out the details? There may be a setting you're unaware of.
