I have successfully set this up using yahoo.uk mail.
I cannot get it to work with gmail or virgin mail.
Use these settings:
pop/smtp email server > smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
send to email address > your email address
account > your email address without the "@yahoo.co.uk"
password > your password
You can forward emails to your normal email address so that you can get alarms on your mobile without adding another email account.
Unfortunately your computer needs to switched on with sec24 running.

ok. i have installed a video app cameras and i am having trouble with setting up the email alert to my mobile. what is requested are these fields: pop.smtp email server > smtp.gmail.com - entered send to email address > my email address - entered account > my email address - entered password > my email password - entered now every time i test the settings all i ever get is email failed. i already recieve my emails on my mobile btw. has anybody used or has these setup successfully?
i have the same problem, surly someone must have a solution by now :)
