The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

I bought an Elna Heirloom 2yrs ago on ebay and have never touched it due to many deaths in my family, well now I don't know how to use it I have a booklet with it but I have no idea how to use it

since you have a instruction booklet, that will show you how to thread the machine & should show how to insert the bobbin, the instruction booklet should also show the different parts of the machine.
I suggest changing the needle the manual should tell you about that
and since the machine has been sitting up for 2 years, it probably needs to be serviced
I also suggest that you read the manual all the way through to help you learn what all you can do with the machine.
you lift up the presser foot to put the fabric under & then place the presser foot down on the fabric where you want to start sewing
make sure to have thread tails on the top thread & bobbin of 3 to 6 inches & pull them behind the needle before you start sewing.

My camer icon thing use to be on the screen and now its gone so i dont have a clue to open it!!

I'm going to assume that, for the first solution that you mean the laptop's built-in camera, and the "icon thing" is a shortcut to whatever software you used to take pictures with the camera. If this is the case, and you remember the name of the program that you were using to take pictures, just go to "My Computer" (Start Menu > My Computer) and search in the upper right-hand corner of the window that opens for the name of the program. If you don't remember the name of the program, then I would suggest installing YAWcam (http://www.yawcam.com/download.php), simply download it, and run the program for it to install, but make sure you create a desktop shortcut (there should be an option in the installer)
If this is an external camera, then simply go under "My Computer" again, and under the list of devices, you should see your camera, double-click it to access all files (pictures and videos) stored on it.
Hope this helps!

Hi,

You can download the instruction booklet in PDF format by clicking this link.

On the page which opens, click on the "Download" button to download and save the manual.
  • You'll require Adobe PDF Reader installed on your computer to view the manual. If it is not already installed on your computer, download it free from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Need instruction booklet & information & disc

You may download a copy of the manual from here.

You don't need any special software.

Or, despite what I said earlier, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
