Ipod disabled and must connect to itunes , must enter passcode but ipod wont let me enter a passcode . how ?

Too many wrong tries of entering the wrong passcode can lead to a disabled iPhone. You have to restore the phone in iTunes to be able to use it again. To be able for iTunes to detect your iPhone in recovery mode and enable you to restore, you have to enter dfu mode. Just press the home button and sleep button simultaneously for 10 seconds then release the sleep button but still hold the home button until iTunes can detect the phone. Then press restore and let it do the rest of the process.

The phone is disabled my son was playing with it and he must of locked it but I don't know the code I tried to connect it to itunes to restore it but it won't connect it says could not connect to the...

you will have to restore it. The only was is deleting everything hopefully you have a backup on itunes.

Hold the power and home key once the phone phone turns on then release the power continue to hold the home key. make sure you are plugged into itunes and when it ask you to restore then click yes. If you are unlocked to tmobile this will undo the unlock also. Precaution if you are running on 3g updating to the new firmware will run laggy also. if you on 3gs or iphone 4 you dont have to worry about it running laggy. hope this helps

Ipod disabled connect to itunes

If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present.

Iphone disabled connect to itunes

Here are your instructions from the website below.
Reset your iPhone Passcode:
If you have forgotten your iPhone's Passcode you will need to restore your phone via iTunes.
But first you have to put your phone into the restore mode which is a slightly fiddly process.
Plug your iPhone into your PC or Mac with the USB cable
Press and hold the power button at the top and then slide to power off the iPhone
Press the power button to power the iPhone on and keep it held while simultaneously pressing the home button
After a few seconds a yellow alert triangle will appear and the iPhone will say it is iPhone Restore Mode.
Open up iTunes and click on the Summary tab
Click on Restore to restore your iPhone. This will reset all your iPhone's setting to the factory defaults, including the Passcode. You should then follow the steps above to activate the Passcode with a memorable number http://www.knowyourmobile.com/appleiphone/apple_iphone_userguides/4684/how_to_password_protect_your_iphone.html Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
