Machine does not stop filling. As a result it overflows unless water is turned off at supply.

Either your waterlevel switch is bad or the hose from the tub to the switch is leaking air. more info would help..ie do you have to turn the water off at the wall for the water to stop rising or do you just have to push the timer knob in?? let me know, i can definitely help to diagnose!!

Hello--My Maytag washer LAT8614AAE stopped while filling. It still spins, and stops spinning when top opened. I replaced water valve, so that wasn't the problem. Ideas? Thanks!

I would check the water level switch. It is activated when the water level is as per requested (low, medium, full). It might give the OK to the timer.

After washing 2 loads the machine won't fill to high level it only fills 1/2 way

You have a faulty fill valve. Return/ replace you washer if under warranty. If not then you will have to replace your fill control valve. That valve is where the knob for the fill level is.

Machine won't fill up. Water just keeps on running.Tried to fill up on low, medium and high to no avail.

Good day,
If it keeps filling, and can't then it sounds as if you have the drain hose positioned too low.
It must reach a point higher than the highest level the water will ever reach.

Maytag FAV6800AWW - Major overflow right after starting machine

Hi, If you turn the water source valve on and water starts filling the machine even tho the machine is off, change the inlet valve.
If you have to start the machine so water will fill but, the water does not shut off at the desired level, there is a problem with the water level switch.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Vic.

Machine fills with water then stops with H2O flashing in the display

Check water inlet valve (valves) for no fill or low water pressure.
Please rate my suggestion.
Thanks.

Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

you have the drain pipe too low into tthe house drain pipe, raise the washers drain pipe up , you only need four inches down into the hous drain

also the house drain pipe needs to be as high as the lid of the machine before you put the washer drain tube into the house drain

you have a syphoning effect
