Sounds like an Ipad problem not a router problem. Apple products (ipad, ipod, iphone) are very tricky to set up on wireless devices as they require settings router that windows devices have no problem with. I would seek answers from apple.com

SOURCE: configure WRT300N wireless Router to connect internet using PPPoE

Often the nets and subnets are NOT the same.. ie The Fixed connection often uses 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, however sometimes the wifi is setup 10.1.1.1, or 10.0.0.1 etc, have you checked this? Esentially tho ya router is an "Acess Point" and ya Lappy etc is ya "Client" the links below has a lot of tutorials to help have a look. http://portforward.com/routers.htm http://portforward.com/guides.htm

SOURCE: linksys SPA2102 interfearing with winmx/360 sharepro, frequently resetting connection

If your planning to connect the phone adapter behind a router make sure that the following ports are open/forwarded on the router; UDP ports 5060-5061, UDP ports 16384-32767 take note that 5060 and 5051 one are SIP ports and must be assigned to the IP address of that was assigned to by the router to the adapter or the IP that was manually configured on it.

I found a link that could help you check the setting on your linksys phone adapter

SOURCE: Using Linksys WRT54G as router connected to ActionTec with FIOS

You must keep everything on the same subnet. Only allow the router to be DHCP and keep everything on 192.168.1.x subnet. You are going to have alot of problems talking across subnets

I tried to set up my ipad2 for use with my home base wireless router(Linksys), when I finished entering my password, the Join button was not lit up--dull grey color. i.e. nothing happen.

can you ipad2 detect any network along your place,if yes,try to configure the settings.

* try to reset your iphone (just the settings - restore factory settings)

* maybe need to update in i-trunes to refresh the firrware (possible to jailbreak also)

if can't detect any networks,

then you wi-fi module has the problem

* possible to fix when update to itunes

* for sure your ipad2 is warranteed so bring it to apple setting for assistance.

Arris Model: TM602G S/N: TM02AH1G6 Modem is not communicating with my Linksys router-WRT160N V3 or my Linksys Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with Speedbooster. I have spent hours online With...

Hi ltuttle650,

If your modem is not communicating with your Linksys router, your Arris modem was most likely installed directly to a PC or Mac when either you or a technician installed it. As soon as it connected it registered your MAC address from your NIC. You need to make your sure that the modem is still talking to the PC or Mac. Please try the steps below.

1. Find out what your NIC's MAC is (go to "Start", "run", "CMD", "ipconfig/all")

2. Copy down your NIC's "Physical Address." That is the MAC.

3. Go into your router's web based utility (Linksys is 192.168.1.1, username:none ; pw: admin) and click on the "Advanced" tab.

4. Then click on the "MAC Address Clone" tab.

5. Type in the number that you copied down. Click "Apply."

6. Now power cycle your Modem while it is disconnected from your computer and router. Power Cycle the router. After everything has rebooted connect the router to the modem and you should be good to go!

In most cases, this should work, and you ought to have internet access now.

If this did not work, the following is a quick fix:
1. Go to the 'Applications & Gaming' tab
2. Click the sub-heading 'DMZ'
3. Click 'Enable'.
4. Click 'Save settings'.
5. Wait for the settings to save, and click 'Continue'.

If this doesn't work, I would recommend calling your cable ISP and telling them that you need a modem that will work with more than one computer, or you need them to send a tech out who is able to set up the internet through a router.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How do you connect 2 routers into one network? I have a Linksys E3000 and a WRT110...I've had the wrt110 for over a year but I found I needed a second router to cover my entire house so I purchased a...

The easiest way is to run a long Ethernet cable from one of the 'LAN' (or 'network') ports on the "first" router to the 'WAN' (or 'Internet') port on the second router. The "first" router is the one connected to your cable-modem or DSL-modem. Both routers will auto-configure themselves for this "wired" connection. Configure the wireless-adapter in the second router as per normal.

Or, run a long Ethernet cable from the cable-modem (or DSL-modem) to a location in the "center" of your home, where you can put your wireless-router, such that its signal spans the entire building.

Or, move the cable-modem (or DSL-modem) to a location in the "center" of your home, and connect the one router at that location.

HP 550 - Unable to detect just a particular wireless network

Given all the circumstances, I can only guess that, for some inexplicable, apparant reason, your network card in your computer is the culprit. Try to get a friend who has the same model to swap cards with you, then you'll know for sure. The other problem could be something to do with the signal and some slight anomoly that is causing your card a problem in detecting it. A communications signal is complicated, and some wireless modems have better circuitry than others, depending on the model. But no matter how we speculate, this is just one of those Twilight Zone enigmas! Best of luck- tricky problem, for sure.

Linksys WRT110 error 222. Can not find network, network hidden or not in range

Check the lights on the router if it's on, access the admin page of your router and make sure that the SSID or wireless name is being broadcast, try changing the name if you are using the default one to easily distinguish it... If other wireless computer can detect your existing wireless network then I would suggest you to check on the computer if the wireless adapter is enabled and detect wireless networks available
