You may need to get a universal remote and the programming codes in order to operate everything you'd like to on your tv. I'm guessing the remote you have is newer than the TV?

Hi, tv set goes into standby, when you reset the picture is bright green for about 10 seconds and goes back into standby.

tv is drawing too much current and protection circuit kicks on and shuts tv down. try turning all screen controls all the way down. if that doesnt fix it, sounds like bad green picture tube. suggest local service center

I have Toshiba 65HX83. and having problem with remote control. Change new battery but seem to doesn't work. only with on/off butten works. But I think on/off butten itself having problem, because doesn't...

Lol?Anywho it could be that. What it is though is far from sticky.Buttons have pressure "receptors" on them that pick up pressure.Otherwise the wires might have been frayed or come undone in the remote control. In that case contact a proffesional or buy a new remote.Hope it helped

Regaza turns on automatically when not around

check your settings within the tv. try resetting tv options to factory defaults. if this does not work then remove batteries from tv remote or any remote programmed to operate this tv to see if the remote is sending a commmand to the the tv to power on in error. Buttons on remote get stuck sometimes although you can still press on the power key.

Remote stopped.

I was able to find the MSN TV Set Up Guide Manual online. Within it was the list of codes for various brands of TVs. One of those for Toshiba TV was in bold print. I used the instructions for entering the code and used that bold printed code. The remote worked both the Toshiba TV and the MSN TV2 unit after that code was entered. Apparently the remote had lost the original code somehow.

I have a 2004 Toshiba color TV 27".

simply look up the codes or contact your cable company for the toshiba tv codes to input into the cable remote. you may also be able to operate the cable box via the TV remote if the correct codes from the tv owners manual are entered.

I saw your response to a question about the Toshiba 32A33 TV ...

Definitely, there is some keypad failure. There is a continuous contact anyone of the key. Since key is contiunuosly giving command to the processor Remote function is automatically cutoff. My simle Tips to find out key failure. Good key give "Tick" sound when you press the key softly. The sound is very very low, you have to observe carefully. Otherwise blindly change all the front panel key. Cost is very very low. When the keypad problem is solved, remote will function automatically.

Toshiba 36AF43 will not operate via remote control (Yes, the batteries are fresh!)

try unplugging the tv and allow the tv to remain unplugged for a least 5 minutes. This will force a reset on the tv which should resolve your remote issues.
