Washer clothes

Your load is out of balance.
If you have a heavy item, spread it around the tub to balance the load.
It is normal for the tub to shake during the spin cycle. The washer has a safety feature, if it is too badly out of balance it will shut itself down and sound an alarm.

Tub is crooked, could a balancing spring come loose

Lastly Washer vibration can be caused by a broken counter balance spring. Ur washer may be equipped with one or more counter balance springs which help to absorb the natural movement of the spinning tub. If a counter balance spring fails the tub might lean in one direction more than another and it will shake and cause vibration.
By the way my advice is free cuz God is good!

Tub is off balance

The tub is out of balance. When it starts hitting the sides, stop the washer and move your clothes around inside the tub to balance the tub. Now start it to spin again. This should stop the tub from hitting the sides.

F1 off balance how do I balance my bravo washer, to get it back on balance?

Their could be objects between the tubs, remove the inner tub nut under the agitation device and lift out the tub. look for objects in there. Also the inner basket has a balance ring in it.

Washer will not stay balanced

The washer balance is mostly controlled by two factors:
  1. Balance of the appliance cabinet (shell)
  2. Suspension of the tub inside the cabinet.
As far as the cabinet is concerned, balance, level, and plumb are determined by the adjustable feet. Installers usually come in with a level and test the level (side to side parallel to ground) and plumb (front to back perpendicular to groud). Many times they overlook the corner to corner balance. I think corner to corner is more important than being plumb or level. Try adjusting.

If that doesn't solve your problem, you may want to check the tub suspension. There are shock absorbers beneath the tub that push in opposite directions to keep the tub balanced in the cabinet. You can access them by removing the front access panel (diagram below -- remove 3 screws and pull out from the bottom to let it fall down)

You will see the shock absorbers in plain view. Wiggle the tub around to see if one is any weaker than the others. If so, replace it.

THE TUB IS WOBBLING AROUND INSIDE THE MACHINE.

either the top tubs "balance-ring" is leaking the balance solution and needs replacing or the tub springs are broken or disconnected from the tub

It seems to be going out of balance on small loads, if you cam the tub full it does not do this. What's wrong, have checked for level and it shows level?

Unstable tub

There are springs inside the unit that stablize the tub during spin. If the springs are not attached correctly the tub will be off balance. Sometimes the Balance Ring loses it's fluid due to a crack or leak and the washer will spin off balance. THis requires a service tech to dissemble the machine.

Can you repair balance ring/tub unit on whirlpool direct drive washer or must you just buy a new tub? I think the fluid has leaked from the balance ring.

some units had balance held in place by clips those could be replaced separately those where balance slipped around outer edge of tub are not a separate part that can be ordered
