Take the back off the heater has 1 10m nut in the middle and 2 wires on it take off wires undo 10m nut prize off the heater it is compressed in a rubber it might take a bit of force the best thing to do before this is to test the heater with a multi meter 1st if there is no reading across the two terminals the heater has gone get a new heater and have a look at it you will see what holds it in

This indicates either a faulty inlet valve, afaulty pump or a blocked filter Regards Engineer

Flashing rinse light is a drive fault. No motor action. If it's an earlier model it would be the motor brushes. Later model will be the electronic which controls the motor.

Pete,
When I had this problem I went along the entire water inlet route and verified flow. Water flow entering the soap dispenser tray should be very robust & audible; if not, you have a flow restriction or low pressure, flashing red light or not.

I'm stating the obvious because I actually missed some filter elements the first time I tried. Disconnect inlet hose at plastic fitting on chassis and verify your flow there. Then look inside the inlet barb and use a small pair of channel lock or lineman's pliers to grasp the tab on the inverted "basket" and pull it straight out. These filters can be packed full of sand and small gravel inside--they were in my case.

Good luck,
Adam

Have a Miele 1612 washer whose heater element comes on during any cold only program. As we are off-grid, any unnescesary power useage is unacceptable. Is there something I can reset, or do I just remo

Hi Ed ..
The following is from the Miele handbook and would indicate that the machine can have the water temperature adjusted...... However I suggest that by merely disconnecting/removing the element
the machine's temperature sensors would not allow the machine to work..
A compromise may be to select the lowest wash temperature (ie 30c) This is better than cold water for detergent economy and effectiveness, and machine life.. I understand your situation.
Good luck

If the washer is connected to this line only, the appliance will need to be reprogrammed to cold water fill only. Main wash light flashing

I have the same problem, try checking the water temperature, it seems that this light indicates a heating ciruit problem. The next step is to check continuity of heating element. These are readily available from meile and other suppliers/ aution site on web.

Miele wt945 won't heat when washing

Possible that the heating element is faulty. It is best to confirm using a multimeter to test the continuity of the element. If so then check the voltage on the element at the time of the cycle and if there is no voltage then the controller unit is faulty. check for fault in the connectors , wires or links.

MIELE W412 PREWASH INDICATOR FLASHING

If your PreWash is flashing then you have a pressure problem. You can dry using a washer machine cleaner or doing a hot cycle with white vinegar. If that doesn't help the electronic would have to be changed.

Miele WT945 dryer is no longer heating but is spinning. I've followed all the steps in ww1223's useful guide (http://www.fixya.com/support/r4177912-miele_wt945_dryer_problems_stage_stage) up to stage 3,...

Check your main breaker box...It might have tripped...If so I would assume your heating element has burned out....Its behind the unit under the metal....It's shaped round..Sometimes the medal support in Laddies bra's will com out and go through the holes and short the element out... Something to look at..

Miele Washer problem Novotronic Premier

Main wash light flashing is a heating fault. You either have a faulty temp sensor (NTC) or the pressure chamber has blocked and the heater element has popped.
