Hello, it seems like some wire or hook came off the slide cover over the USB, and now the USB refuses to pop up... Tried pulling it out with plyers, but its stuck inside.. probably because there's some-kind of stopper. I tried to open it up, but seems like the cover is really nicely assembled, that its impossible to open with out breaking it. If anybody could help me open the cover, or atleast get this USB to pop up? the mp3 player works fine, but cant get it recharged if this doesnt come out. Tried looking at USB cord extenders, but they arent slim enough to fit around the stuck port

I had this problem myself. The solution is to take a fine, rigid object, like a paper clip, and use it to press the "reset" button, which is located just above the USB adapter on the device, and clearly marked.

What's the music format of the songs that you placed on your mp3 player? Some MP3 Players only capable of playing song files with .mp3 extension and are incapable of playing other music format like wav, wma, etc. Check also the contents of the player for corrupted files and foreign files. Some viruses from a computer could affect the performance of your mp3 player.

I'm pretty sure I fixed a similar problem. Go to your device manager on your PC and uninstall the walkman driver. After this is complete just plug the walkman back into you Pc and the plug and play will download the driver again. This worked for me. My operating system is Windows vista.
