Screen rotates, pen doesn't

I have a Viewsonic TPCV1100 that I had to essentially recreate after a hard disk upgrade. Most of the things work properly except that the pen cursor moves in 180 degree opposition to it's placement on the screen, when the screen is rotated right (270 degrees): I go right, it goes left; I go up, it goes down. Unfortunately, Da Vinci I ain't. This mirror writing just doesn't work for me. Incidentally, the track point and Synaptic touch pad work properly. Is there some sort of registry, mouse, graphics driver (Intel Extreme) or tablet (Wacom) tweak I need to do? The Graphics driver was downloaded from Viewsonic. The tablet driver was downloaded from Wacom. Tablet pen calibration does not work (no cursor) My Mouse settings show 4 HID devices (one of which is the pen), but no controls to rectify the pen movement The Intel Extreme control Panel only offers rotations for the screen.

Is it maybe possible it is a hardware prob? maybe the directional sensor in the tablet was displadced.

BTW i have the same tablet and need an harddrive replacement/upgrade, how did you manage to do that? what kind of drive and where to buy? Viewsonic seems not so eager to help me out with that.

Best,

Fredrik

My Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook t4220 is working fine overall. However my pen which was working fine will not function at all. Please advise on what I should do to ge it working again. Padraic.

Sounds like the pen packed up, they do that but normally become intermittent first. Without a source of another pen to determine the nature of the fault, may I suggest a modest solution.

A pen that will function and also be an acceptable fit in the slot is available on eBay, - See - # 140504970431. A good price, and an exceptional supplier. At least it will confirm a pen or a screen problem.

Should you have an original (or copy), of the System Restore disk, I would appreciate you getting in contact, mine got trashed. Paul W.

Need replacement stylus

Try using an empty ink tube from a cheap pen. Be sure not to use anything sharp that will gouge into the screen.

Check for scratches on the media.

Also, it could be "bad" RAM in the computer that is creating "random" problems, which could be reported by the B.S.O.D.
If the computer has multiple sticks of RAM, remove one, and try again.

I just got a Airsync V210x. Its used and when I turned it on it loads the IE and requires a password to exit. I was hoping to find a way to reset the whole thing. Or some more information that what...

After hours of playing around with this thing I found a place the password was kept. It was something called Viewsonic Kiosk IE. Now I am out to the problem of getting it to remote connect. Connects the network just fine under WEP, then tried to ad-hoc it and that works too, but can't get the remote connect to take my pc.

Error message:

The connection was ended because of a network error. Please try connecting to the remote computer again.

I have Internet access now to the internet, but I still can not remote into my PC.

I think that would become another issue; possible with router, but I have not seen any type of setting that controls this. I can set up the PC and Laptop to Remote, but not with the v210. It's a pain if you have one of these, but by the time I am done, I know there will be at least quite a few looking for every detail on the same information. I just wish I had more of these now. Especially when I paid 20 bucks total, and it came looking perfect condition, just the original box had wear and tear. I almost said screw it and tore inside to see, when I stumbled across what KIE stood for.

Any suggestions or knowing of documentation on Windows CE 4.2 would help. I plan to just get a full tablet PC, but can't afford it, so I thought this was interesting to replace it for the moment. I can still draw on this as my screen instead of the horrible drawing tablets I have seen for 20 bucks. Doubt I will be playing games on this though, unless its a web based. Don't know if this thread will stay open, so [email protected] if you have or need more information. I will still be playing with this even though it really is a pain. Other Problems also help, to recreate and learn CE farther than taking passwords and managing my remote connections.

My pen for my computer won't work

I think the pen has gone bad on you, since your screen can still detect your hand and the track pad. I would think the pen is faulty. Try another pen cause I think your original is bad, if it was the touch feature that wasn't working I would say its a driver problem but that feature still works with the exception of the pen. Get another pen.
