Hi there, if you know what model it is you can do a google search for the owners manual. There should be a sequence of buttons you can push or hold to reset to factory/default settings.

Some samsung washers have the water pump located in the back of the machine. If your model does not have a small door located in the bottom of front than remove back service panel to access the water pump.

This may require a technician visit, but you can check this:
Open front panel by using a putty knife to push in and release a clip at the seam where the front panel meets the washer's top. (usually about 2 inches in from each side.) Look at ( BUT DON'T TOUCH !!!!!) the motor. Just under the top plate on the motor is an electronic board which has an LED mounted on it. Anytime the washer is plugged in, the LED should be slowly flashing, about once a second. When the motor is running, it should flash twice as fast. If you get anything else, like four flashes, a pause, and four more flashes, call for service and let them know the flash code you are seeing.

"te" error code is caused by a faulty thermistor; likey cause is:
a. Loose wiring at the control panel (directly behind the cycle selector knob)
b. Broken wire at the thermistor (located at the bottom/front of the tub)

To access the wire plug connectors at the control pannel, remove the top cover of the washer. Stand in front of the washer and look for the plug connectors behind the control panel. Pull apart the plugs and re-install.

Test the washer. If the "te" error still occurs it will be neccesary to remove the front panel as well (two sets of special plier-type tools are needed).

Inspect the thermistor closely, with good lighting. If there's a break in the wire it will be at or near the black sheathing / heat shrink material.

BAD GROUND- caused by moisture in cabin- corroding the GROUND terminal /strap/connector. Check the connectors up to the panel? YUP. Tear apart dash. GOOD LUCK!!

DR is door error

This generation of dryer has alot of control board failures(the relay for the heat burns the terminals for the wires), you can inspect these relay connection visably by removing the front control panel

This is indicating an open door circuit. Since the circuit cannot complete, you cannot program any cycles and the "clean filter" light will remain on until you can do so. You will find a technical data sheet inside your dryer, either just under the top panel, or inside the lower panel, if so equipped.

You have to take out the four screws in the soap dispenser. take out the screws across from the ones you took out for the door this will allow the front panel of the washer to come off. Underneith the front panel are 2 5/16 bolts holding down the lid. Good Luck

Those washer hang on four rods for support and they also use four rubber straps to control lateral movement. The rods can give and stretch with a big load and cause the motor to rub the floor. Remove the front panel by pressing downward between the top and front. (top is bolted down). Give it a look see with the front off to determine what is making the noise.

You may have blown the internal fuse located in the lid switch. Could be you over loaded the washer and blew the fuse.
Unplug the washer and remove the four screws holding the control panel front in place. Two screws on top and two screws under control panel.
Remove the control panel and tilt forward.
Locate the lid switch assemble and remove glass fuse and inspect.
Door switch assembly should be replaced. When you order the proper fuse it should come with the door switch assembly.
Replace assembly. Reinstall the front control panel and four screws.
Plug machine in and test.

The F70 and F71 error codes on this model of washer indicates a communication problem between the user interface control board and the central control unit (main control board). These error codes can sometimes be caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. Try unplugging the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Wait 1 minute and then plug the washer back in to the see if the fault code clears. If it does, then the washer may work normally.

If the code reappears, then you could have a wire harness connection problem, a failed user interface control board or a failed central control unit. I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair this type of problem so that the correct component can be replaced.


Be sure your unit is plugged into a 3 prong grounded outlet as well.


F71 is a "heatbeat failure" which means that your front interface control board is shorted and will need to be replaced. it's actually fairly easy to replace and can definitely be done by yourself. To access the part, just pull the unit forward and remove the 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. Remove the top panel by pulling it back, up, and off. Then remove all the screws going into the top of the control panel. Remove the dispenser drawer and remove the screws coming in through the dispenser. Remove the screws coming from the inside of the dryer going forward into the control panel, then remove the control panel (it's just clipped in on the bottom. After that you can disconnect the wire harnesses to the front interface control board and replace that part.
