SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi DLP

It's not the bulb. Google Mitsubishi WD-73737 blink codes. The blinking light is a self diagnostic tool and each blink code represents a certain problem.

I have a mitsubishi tv model wd 60638 I changed the lamp. Tv works fine for about 20 minutes then I start to smell like something is burning then picture starts to flicker, what could could cause this

You have a bad connector in the lamp. Stop running the TV immediately and contact the company you purchased the lamp from. this is common in older DLP tvs but not in one 5 years old unless you have a lot of hours on it. the connector can crack and arc inside the plug and then melt and smell terrible. It usually very repairable if you can get a ballast for it. the plug is part of the ballast.

Mitisbuski 73737 made popping sound and cut off

Check your lamp. The popping sound was most likely the arc tube exploding. Make sure you only install a real Philips or Osram lamp. WD73737 Mitsubishi Genuine High Quality Original Projector Lamps now...

Mitsubishi wd-73c9 status light blinking orange won't turn on

may need the lamp replaced pt# 915B403001
Recommend Phillips, OSRAM or Mitsubishi original (as from experience others will not work or will have very short life)

Replaced lamp on my Mitsubishi 82 in dlp. after 15 minutes pic started to flicker losing color. was advised to also change lamp ballast, did that but still flickers with new lamp. put old lamp back in tv...

When you put the old lamp back in did the picture look OK? If so why did you replace to begin with? Yes, there are some poorly manufactured lamps out there, where did you obtain the replacement? Was it true OEM?

Lamp Problems

If you put in an osram "neolux" type lamp--these will NOT often work in Mits. tv sets. And MIts often sends out Neolux bulbs now. A phillpis bulb for this works MUCH better.

Wd65738 flickering

I had a TV do that about a year ago, the repair man said it was the color wheel inside the tv. I changed the bulb to see if he was BS'ng me and eventually got the manufacturer to send a color wheel and I change it myself, was very easy...TV works fine ever since. Hope this helps

Recently the red light is flashing in stand by, is there a common issue with this ? WD62327

This is a common issue for DLP TV's the bulbs they have are made to last 2000-4000 life hours for Osram lamps this is the lamp the Mitsubishi usually uses so depending how old the lamp is this could be your problem I found the lamp you need for a good price

DLP TV starts to loose picture after 1 - 1/2 hours of use

This tv has a 3 board video path. Analog main pcb --->Digital main pcb --->DMD pcb. see which inputs have the problem to narrow it down. if only some inputs, suspect analog board. if everything flickers(all inputs and menu), suspect the dmd or engine. you can see the lamp shine out the back. if the lamp is flickering, suspect lamp or ballast.
