Frig is hot only in upper front (divider) where two doors meet.

If it is that hot you really need to get this checked out ASAP. It could become a fire hazard.

Check in the frig side upper left at the top. The frig has to be running. There are air vents that bring the air to the frig side. If you dont feel any air this is what could be the problems with that:
Freezer fan not running
vent is closed
vent is iced up
evaporator is iced up
try to determine which one of these it is or not...

The divider between the side by side frigerator/freezer where the door closes and seals is extremely hot- too hot to touch. Is something wrong with my refrigerator, should i unplug it?

The fan which cools the compressor is not working , OR , the coils under the front of fridge are very dirty .

First take the grill off at the bottom under the doors look at the grate under the frig That is your condenser it will probably be covered in dust clean it off the see if you can fill air blowing under the frig there is a fan under there that keeps that coil cool and it runs around the door to keep condensation from build around the doors if no air is blowing take the back panel behind the Frig and there should be a fan running if the compressor is running this will also cause the compressor to over heat and will not cool as well but it might just need to be cleaned Good luck

Clean the condenser coil underneath the dust bunnies keep the coil from cooling. What you feel is your elictir running away

you need to get a tech to look at it it sounds like a sealed system issue Compressor,drier etc....

not supposed to be hot to touch, try pulling out refrig and vaccuming the coils, your probably FULL of dust and debris, also remove the kickplate from front and clean under there as well

This will get warm. If very hot check and clean coils in front, underneath. Also check fan behind rear panel. It should be turning when the unit is running. Also check for door not closing properly.
