Turn on light stays green, screen lights up dark blue, thats it,no picture, sound etc,i ordered new motherboard, still same problem. ive fixed tvs in past by replacing blown capacitors and resistors , a couple look like they might be bad.but i only fixed that perticular tv cause it had noted forums with those issues
No, DX-LCD32 has a known problem with both the inverter and the CCFL lamps or, to be precise, the connections of those lamps, which tend to rust, desolder and break contact.
Doesn't mean that's the problem your TV has, but I am just noting that it is not the main board they are known to have a big problem with.
And the symptoms you describe would rather suggest a functioning main board than a bad one.
Lack of sound is probably simply because you're not having the TV on the right AV input.

vertical red line on screen - I have a Hitachi plasma 42HDs69
SOURCE: power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound
Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.

the problem was in the powerboard, nearheatsinks,it had two blown
capacitors elite450volt-100uf's.theres two.they are leaking and bubbled
near the x notches on top(bulging means bad). Its funny because i fixed
a 42 inch magnavox plasmaorlcd?,but it was the same problem.
cost me 8 dollars and a soldering gun at radioshack
Consider yourself lucky...for now. And I wouldn't be using Radioshack capacitors if I were you.
i agree ,radioshack doesnt have highbtemp capacitors or capacitors with high usage hours, plus radial style, andpolarity can behard to finda Comment
