Had capacitors replaced for free yesterday- problem not related. Paid $1,900.00 8-7-2011. Out of extended warranty a year ago. Should I pay repairman $100.00 for part (sorry don't know what it is but with back off TV it is at the top and on the center- had something to do with the pixels I guess) and $150.00 for repair or just buy a new plasma TV made by Panasonic since LCDs by Samsung obviously don't last very long.

before you give up..call samsung directly, they are very consumer oriented and if it is only a couple months out of warranty you might get them to repair it,, 1 800 samsung

You are having another problem with the power board...there are some capacitors which are easily replaced to cave you the cost of the board. If you are technical,I can guide you further,other wise a reputable shop can fix this very reasonably
