Different colors flicker in the dark areas of the picture. When you change the channels during the time the screen should be dark you can see the flicker and then once the picture appears you can see it faint in the dark areas continue to flicker. Any help is appreciated.

This tv is not repairable only can be replaced the Plasma screen itself.Not woth it,replacing the plasma screen,will cost the same as a new tv.This problems,u discribing is the Plasma screen itself sure comming to used and ages.Not any electronic boards componnent.Because the floorscents Plasma gas u seeing on the screen itself forming and lighting up the Plasma screen itself.
The TV is design for 16:9 format. The bars appear when the TV off showing that the TV has been watching under channels which is have 4:3 format for long time. The screen was burn out because no sweepping to those area. This is not critical problem but you can do nothing to fix it. To eliminate it a bit you shoud read the manual, I believe it has mentioned how to roll or sweep the screen. For plasma TV, if you keep watching 4:3 channels fomat, you shoud do it one a month within 30'. Good luck
