We were looking for a cheap alternative to our events at work and had a nice yardsale find of a Fisher TAD 9315. I figured if i use either the video or phono inputs of the system, i could connect a Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer board using two radio shack 1/4 mono phone plug to 90 mono (rca) cables (Radio Shack P/N 42-2440 and 42-2440A). When i powered the system up and raised the volume considerably i could hear the music really faint. I tried making the switch to video and phono, but neither would work. I removed the mixer and plugged in my ipod directly to the video plug using an RCA (red/white) cable to male stereo and the system picked the sound right up. While i can kind of guess at some thing, I dont really have teh background in audio and was trying to see if someone could make some suggestions as to how i could make this setup work.

Check you assign buttons and bottom (three black square buttons) and play with them. It sounds as if you are not sending to that side. You should use mono cables into left and right. I set pan on left all the way left and right, all the way right. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: connect active subwoofer to Studiomaster Walkabout
You CANNOT have a stereo set of RCA jacks "wyed" into a single XLR mono input.
The RCA output drivers will "fight" each other. Some things will appear to work, but give poor performance.
You could make a rudimentary passive mixer by putting a series resistor say 1K ohms from each of the RCA's to a common UNBALANCED input of a subwoofer.
The XLR is balanced so that would not really work unless you also have an unbalanced input on the subwoofer.
The right way to do this is to get a cheap two input mixer that has EQ with it and mix your two mains before sending to the subwoofer. You want a little mixer that also has balanced outputs (XLR or TRS) to send to the subwoofer.
UNLESS the subwoofer has EQ in it, you really need to have an EQ in the little mixer so that you don't send high's to the subwoofer... They don't like highs and the sound will suffer.

SOURCE: Behringer XENYX 1622FX, won't power on. Phantom power works(?)
After reviewing the schematic, I don't understand how the Phantom power can REMAIN on with the power switch off... this CANNOT occur except for what energy is left in the 48 volt supply filter cap... This might last for minutes after the fuse went... UNLESS you have devices connected which are backfeeding the 48 volts. (which would be a disaster)
The 48 volts, +/- 12 volts and +/- 15 volts and the +5 volts ALL come from the SAME switching power supply. I suspect one of the filter caps went or the primary switching regulator a TDP245Y chip.
You should ONLY work on the line side of this using an ISOLATION transformer since the line side has lethal voltages.
To do testing, one replaces the fuse and puts a 60 Watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the inout line. The lamp "acts" as a resetable fuse and limits the current for testing. When all is well again, the lamp will remain out with the power flowing through it.
The D1 diode bridge and C7 input rectifier and filter are first things to check. You can do those with an ohmmeter.
I will caution you to ALWAYS power any and all equipment from the SAME power source. Plugging in devices from across the room will set up ground loops and any ground fault will fry equipment.

i have a problem i need to know all about this power supply what the output is and the input and so on everything thats writen down the the adaptor
SOURCE: hi all i own a behringer
You would need TWO DC supplies as they use AC so they can create both a plus and minus 15 volt power source to run the internal op amps.
Here is a schematic for the 1202 which has same power supply configuration as the 802.

Scroll down to the little link "Get Manual" and download the service manual and schematic. You will find the power input in the upper left corner of page 5.
