The green light is on and it wont turn off by the remote control, I have to manually turn it off by the power switch on the side of the TV. When turn it on I have to quickly click the power button on the remote so the TV will turn off (red light). No sound or picture, not even the Sony logo when it is turned on.
It sounds like a main board failure but could be a power supply issue as well. The set will need to be diagnosed

Hold The Off Button for 20 sec should make clicking noise switch off at power and on again should be working

Please count Sony KDL-46V3000 standby light blinks as there would be interval of 3 seconds between blinks. Let me know how many times light blinks as its an error code.

it sounds like your back light might be going out. You might be able to fix this by installing a new backlight inverter board.
