Frigidaire dishwasher model pldb998ac1

I have a frigidaire dishwasher model pldb998ac1. At the end of the wash cycle, the "Lo" button stays lit on the display. The only way it will go away is if I recycle the unit. Then it works find until the end of the next wash cycle and problem returns. It is full of rinse solution so that is not the problem... Any ideas??? Thanks

If you use salt, maybe that needs refilling. Can't think what else would be low

SOURCE: frigidaire dishwasher ultaquiet , model=FDB750RCC1

the first thing that your dishwasher does when you turn it on is drain when you turn it on you hear a motor running then it stops then it fills start the washer when it stops to start filling open the door should be no water in the unit if there is you have a drain problem and in fact are washing your dishes in dirty water can be several things that can cause drain problems a piece of food blocking the line at the sink where the drain goes in if its run to a disposer there is a knockout plug that should be removed just stick your finger in there to see if it was removed get you installation instructions and read the part about not removing the drain loop but just about all the time installers will lol if you cant find the instructions go to www.frigidaire.com under customer support can down load them there let me know what you find

SOURCE: Our Frigidaire Ultra Quiet II dishwasher loud buzzing noise- wash

No longer "ultra quiet" huh?

A sound during certain cycles indicates a broken part. By the information provided sounds like a pump may be the problem. You may need to contact a service tech about this issue. If the appliance still under warranty, the service should be provided for free.

Every time when you hear noises (other than the normal ones) in the appliance, it indicates there is something wrong and it will worsen over time, so as soon you hear something is not ok, get assistance.

SOURCE: Flashing "Washing" light on my frigidaire 1000 series dishwasher

Possible solution. I had the same problem of "washing" light flashing last year and now today. Warranty has been expired for awhile, so no harm in trying. What worked for my situation was removing the six screws for the back of the plastic control cover. Take of the plastic cover. There are are two connectors to the HANDLE with white and black wires. To be safe I would shut off the ciruit to the dishwasher. Safety first. Carefully disconnect and inspect the contacts inside the connectors. Do not insert any metal objects if you left the power on. I believe that the moisture from the dishwasher can degrade the connectivity. I cleaned the contacts with q-tips and re-installed. Be careful to not bend the contacts. If you had sound, you could hear my dishwasher running. Total cost is about three cents. I believe that the connectors do not full close when corroded, which prevents the completion of the circuit to the controlls. The flashing light indicates that the door is open, when in fact it is closed. Hopefully this will help someone. Semper Fi

SOURCE: Frigidaire dishwasher won't end cycle - will run

I would say the resettable thermostat has failed. There is a thermostat which senses the water temperature, and when it fails, it causes the dishwasher to run constant. Replace the thermostat underneath the dishwasher and that should cure problem. Part number is 154290204 (I know the number off by heart, that's how often it happens!)

My Frigidaire dishwasher has recently started to act up. It starts the wash cycle but doesn't finish it.

Sounds just like my Whirlpool dishwasher. If you have the documentation that came with it look through it for a "reset" method to re-calibrate the dirt sensor in the unit. If you don't have the owners manual try to "Google" an owners manual or a "technicians" manual to find a reset or a re-calibrate procedure. Mine consisted of pressing certain control buttons at the same time, after which the unit ran through a calibration cycle that took about as long as a normal wash, and it has worked great ever since.

Frigidaire Gallery Series Dishwasher - unit stops near the final rinse cycle without draining - "ER" on front display, all led indicators on front display also lit (e.g. low rinse agent, etc.),...

the problem is within the electronic control. Steam leaks in, due to an improper seal ring. Humidity stay in the compartment and eventually, the contact on the wire ribbon corrodes.
it can also be the new electronic module.
If the electronic module is ok, then the only working solution require that you order and install a "fit kit" from Frigidaire.

Some models even have a recall made form Frigidaire. Better check with them.

Good luck!

Water won't drain

Do the diagnostic test:
SHU 53 MODELS

To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ ?21? = version 1 with jumper). When wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button.
To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). Cycle Countdown display will show “88′ when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and “8h” when Delay Start button is pressed.
To start testing, press both the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended, Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. If more than one fault occurs, code numbers will be added together, (e.g./ ?6? = faults 2 + 4).
0 = No faults detected 2 = Heating fault 8 = NTC (temperature sensor) fault
1 = Aqua Sensor (“Sensotronic”) fault 4 = Filling fault F = Filling fault (display occurs during wash, not test)
To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code “4′ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won’t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show “0′, water won’t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code “8′ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.
---------
The dishwasher not draining is most probably faulty drain pump or drain hose is got bit loose. It has to be checked and confirmed
.You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
