Why My camera is not compactible with my pc, dell window xp

the answer is there from canon
win xp is so far out of date that canon has no drivers for that operating system
upgrade to vista , win 8 or best win 10 and the problem may be solved

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). 1.Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD drive, and then restart the computer.
2.Click to select any options that are required to start the computer from the CD drive if you are prompted.
3.When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
4.Press 1 (One) to select windows XP and then hit enter.
5.When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
6.At the command prompt, Type
compact /U C:\bootmgr
compact /U C:\ntldr

Never format or erase a card using the computer. You may have to try the format in the camera a few more times.

just a guse but the batery looks to have enouth mA to run a CF 802.11b card and an sd blue touth card i think if you will be connected to a network or a wifi connection i would invest the money in the 3400MAH insted of the 1440MAH.
