Video cards that can handle two monitors at the same time have cables with two plugs on the monitor end.

If your video cable has two plugs on the monitor end, try the other plug.

Try booting into "safe mode" and see if it happens.

If it happens in safe mode, try a different monitor.

If it works OK in safe mode, the problem might be a video or monitor driver. In that case, download the latest driver for your video card and install it.
If the abopve does npt work, please give full info about your Windows version and computer specs.
    Good luck.

Hi there! You can test first if the monitor is working. Disconnect it from the computer then turn it on after that it should show you colors on the screen this means its working if not then its no use trying it on a different computer.

Hope this helps!

I turn it on and the dell logo comes up and then the screen goes blank. Already had the hard drive looked at. All is good.

Try it on another PC, if it still does not work, please read below:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed DELL monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Screen comes on for less than one second & then goes black.

Possibly  your monitor inverter is broken, have a good look in some angel if the screen shows any picture if so then your inverter is broken. Its a common think with monitors.

Ds-1107a inverter/power supply no power or comes on &LCDflickers

Classic sign of bad inverter. Since it is inside the LCD not something you can fix yourself unless you work with electronics. Needs to go to the repair shop.
