I have this particular model and when it comes to the spin cycle it has a hrd time starting and makes like a monaing noise and then it will go and then stop and the clothes are sopping wet when its done and the water isnt draining out but if i take everyhting out it will do the spin cycle fine on an empty drum..
Its your pump.get at it thru the back.it may be blocked or may have failed.a volt meter will tell you if its getting voltage.if so should drain, make sure on about spin setting to check.ive had to replace the pump on my neptune

i took the pump out and took the hose off and the big rubber drain thingy from the drum to the pump nothing at all in it pump appears to work fine i was told that it is the bearings in the drum that keep it from spinning because they are worn, but in order to replace them bearings im told that i need to replace the entire outer shell of the drum! 600 dollar part... new unit for that price pretty ridiculous, my first thought was the pump also like i said i took that off first, but that seems to be working right, its just not spinning it out to make for it to be able to drain. make sense??
Hello,
Here is a copy of the Repair Manual for your Maytag Neptune Washer. It has everything you need to troubleshoot your washer. Read the Manual and see if it helps you out.
