Sanyo 50 inch DP50740 what happens is when I plugin the TV nothing happens but when I push the power button the power light turns on for 2-3 seconds then turns off (when I push it again it will do the same thing 3 or 4 times then it stops and I will need to unplug the TV, I tested the fuses and they are good, I have looked at the board nothing looks wrong the caps look good no dark spots on the board we don't know what is wrong whit it, I know that it just stop working one day. we also got a new power board but that did not fix it Nathan
Try to change the Inverter board (Buffer board).

I had a similar problem like yours with a different TV. I had to find the Service Manual for the TV to really find the problem. The manual gives me every schematic and parts number list for every board in the TV.
It turned out to be a bad Inverter Transformer. It was one of six that powered the LCD screen. You might have the same problem.
The Service Manual on the internet for most TVs are under $20. It's the best material for diagnosing the problem. It worked for me.
