TV turns on for a few seconds, then turns off. While on, there is sound, but no picture. There is a message that says no input signal, but cable is connected and all other TV's are working. Is this something that I can fix? Is it worth it? For what I paid for it 3 years ago, it kills me to not try to fix it.
The good news is that the "No Input Signal" message means that your TV is not broken. If you are trying to watch cable, then you have simply turned the TV to the wrong input channel. If your cable comes into the Philips using a coaxial cable wire, use the Philips remote to change the channel to Ch.3 or 4 - whichever channel you normally watch cable on. Make sure the cable box is turned on if you have a cable box. If the cable box connects to the TV using another type of wire, use the Ch+/- on the Philips remote and go through all the AV channels until you find the right one. Good luck! Let me know if you need additional help.
