Unable to initialize the aspi manager dance ejay 7

Just accept that it is not running.

Windows 7 is new and will not support Ejay ver 6.

This is old software which is only supported upto XP, but try the following....

1) Right Click on Icon, and select 'Run as Administrator'

or

2) Install a Virtual XP Machine and run it that way, not ideal, but will get your software working....

Right click on Computer in the Start menu. You should see manage.
click on manage and you will see some selections the left one called disk management. click that and you should see all your drives. If you disable the Raid you may have to initialize the disk for windows to use it again. right click on the drive and initialize or if it shows up you may have to create a partition and then format.

also it is important to download winmount or daemon tools, they have ASPI implemented

search at the microsoft site.....

Right click on the program name in your start menu and go to properties, then click the compatability tab and set it to run in compatibility for windows xp and also at the bottom click run as administrator.

The LS2000 is older than XP and has some fairly tight requirements to work. The recommended SCSI adapter is an Adaptec 2906, and you will probably need to backrev the ASPI layer driver files to version 4.7 (available on adaptec.com site). You may need to boot in Safe Mode to remove the later versions of the ASPI files before you can install the 4.7 files. You will also need to update your Nikon Scan software to version 3.1.2, available online by googling "nikon scan 3.1.2".
