Actually it is a diagnostic failure in the lens assembly and the camera would need to be repaired to have this fixed. You can call Olympus Customer Service to discuss their repair policies and procedures. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3
There is a problem in the lens assembly circuit. Most probably the connector problem. If there is a snap then it requires replacement of the lens assembly.

This may ge a generic failure and the camera will be replaced.
Anyway they are the folk who know.

Turn on camera. Blurry pic. Wirly grinding noises. Blue screen.
Codes on blue screen:
5 f 0 8
5 e 0 2
5 f 0 8
5 e 0 2
Sometimes smacking the **** out of it fixes it. Today it doesn't seem to do the trick any more.

actually, it has the same problem with the other customers... but if you're saying that there's something wrong with the connector, well i never dropped the cam nor had it bumped somewhere. after taking a picture, white screen showed and the image was blurry. then that's when the lens retract back and forth...while the blue screen was showing that code. earlier, i read on this forum that all i had to do was tilt the camere and have the usb port open.i couldn't picture it on how to do it really..
