Hi. We have an old analog TV (Sony) which has a new digibox running through it (since the switch over). Was fine, but over the last few weeks, intermittently, the screen goes black with EXT 1 in the top corner, but perfect sound. Change channel, no picture, perfect sound. If we fiddle with the aerial cable, the picture jumps back. This happens sometimes after 30 mins of perfect picture, and sometimes after 3 hours.. sometimes not at all!Have replaced cable, no joy - same problem - and to be fair, the original cable never caused any issues with analog tv. That said, if its a loose connection, we cant understand why its only the picture which is effected. Please help!

This received analogue in UK until the switch to digital. Is there a small digibox for this available?

Yes. you can buy an analog to digital; or a digital to analog converter according to your need. It must be interfaced between your TV and cable input.

Annamaria:

It sounds like you have not yet simply married your TV to your digibox (which I assume is a cable box) with the proper code. Go to Hitachi.com for the code.

wow. mostly all new set from the last few years have a dual tuners

Sony KV-28DX30U. my tv wont re-tune!? I had digital channels before the switchover!? Do i need to buy a digital box? It has intergrated digital tv!?

It's probably curtains I'm afraid. The software in this TV is only compatible with the old standard (2k) and not the new standard (8k). Sony aren't releasing any updates so you'll need a digibox (or a skip!)

A red line has appeared down centre of television. Tv is 81cm LCD . Television is about 12 months old. Problem has occurred in last few weeks

LCD panel failed and require replacement, hopefully it's still under warranty. Otherwise, you need a new TV.

Local TV channels drop out after a few minutes

We're still hanging on by our toenails waiting for a helpful response from FixYa. We did contact Philips tech support and they basically said that we need a new TV...so they're sending one to replace this one, and we are sending back the "old" one (that we just bought in December '08).
