When we turn the TV on, the screen has a wave at the top and it appears as if there is double vision that shows up in green and purple. We have a JVC 57 inch projection screen that is appx 6 years old. Is this worth fixing?

Hello,
This television set, as well as most rear-projections, is prone to convergence driver problems. There are two large chips (STK392-110's) in the TV that need to be replaced, as well as some resistors that are likely damaged as well. Any competent TV repair shops should be able to repair this TV for 200-300 dollars. It is important to note that if the back of the TV is taken off without the proper prep., the Digital input (DVI) will be disabled permanently.

has double vision lines at top
yes i have the same problem as above the double vision wave on top with green and purple colors and i tried going to the picture settings and got to a place where it shows purple green and red + signs that are not all centered as one .and i think if i can get them all centered it will fix the picture am i right or do you have to replace the convergence driver....Ect.
WAS TOLD IC CHIP, CAN I FIX MYSELF
purple and green waves at top of screen and on the top of people and pictures also vision of pictures are blurred
I have same problem, Convergencen red image duble.i need convergencen setting. Please sent the setting.
