Tried to turn tv off,cannot turn power off to tv from remote or at tv.no volume control or channel contol.no channel,volume,or any other button either on tv or remote.unplug tv plug back in. power turns tv on with either remote or at tv unit,but no picture and still no function control from tv unit or remote. still no picture only vizio lite comes on then nothing.have to unplug to turn power off.

Why should i tell you (fixYa) how i fixed the problem for free? You wanted to charge me for your info so i think it's only fair that i charge you for mines. I did figure out and solved the problem.
RJW34 I have a 37" Viizio LCD that has a similar problem. I power it up and I get a lit screen but it's blank. No controls work except power on and off.
SOURCE: only vizio light come on then nothing. have to unplug to turn off
there a problem on power side.. chage the ic and the resistor going to ic and check also the signal diode.

sound like the inverter circuit board problem. check & replace back same part# inverter circuit board. hopefully could help!!

hi i have the same problem and would like to know how you did fix it, our tv is only 2 weeks old. picture went to a fuzzy scrren like the cable went out and loud sound so i shut it off and now, no control on anything , i can only turn it on. PLEASE help! email me at [email protected]

When TV is on volume goes off, but if you turn tv off then back on volume comes back on. But this happens all the time

When I try to turn the tv on , the VISIO light turns on but then goes right back off.
unplugged and held on button for 30 secs per vizio and then plugged back in had light on but it faded in a few secs vizio says powerboard
Unit will not turn on either with the remote or the power button
