You Tv has a bad chip ( I recommend you replace both on the convergence board ). 80% or more of the projection sets I get into my shop have this same problem and by replacing the convergance chips, it normally corrects the problem. If you are going to preform the repair yourself, be sure to use lots of heat sink grease to prevent the problem from happening again and I always suggest you use the original chips ( same numbers ) as the after market parts don't always work well. As a pre caution, always remember to unplug the set before doing any work inside the set. Good Luck

Your TV most likely a convergence failure. ( common problem )
Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem
Here are some photos of convergence problems.
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
SOLUTION
You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

The
best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to tvrepairkits.com
and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, no need to
search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple
shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK IC’S , not those cheap
aftermarket or china made IC’S full pictorial
directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico
fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem
with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most
cases GOOD LUCK!!!

I have the same problem with a Phillips rear projection TV. A blue arc from left to right bottom screen. it double presents any writing. Re-setting the guns does not help. Re-starting the TV after it has warmed up seems to help temporarily, but problem returns.
